The hotel is located in the most beautiful part of the 'real' Amsterdam with postcard-like scenery the moment you step out the door. But inside, the hotel is outdated (not in the historic way), rooms difficult to access with long walks and steps, and most rooms do not have the canal view one would expect. Our room was basic with... More

The Pulitzer has so many things going for it- the location is as pretty as you could wish from an Amsterdam canal-side and it's really very central - just down from the Westerkerk, Westermarkt Tram Stop, Anne Frank Huis & on the edge of Jordaan. Centraal Station is only 5 mins on a tram. Greeting outside was nice - but... More

We booked the hotel 10 months before our stay using SPG points. They left SPG effective March 31 and still honored the SPG booking which was wonderful for us as we wanted to stay in central Amsterdam. We could walk to all the attractions. The rooms are nicely appointed and clean. Had a couple of light dinners and the food... More

Really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. It was attractive, clean with friendly staff. Fantastic choice of hot breakfast and cold - complements to the chef. The hotel is very centrally situated within walking distance to any of the attraction. Also walking distance to Jordaan where you get reasonably priced local meals.

This is one of the best hotel experiences I ever had, possibly the best. The Hotel has a long and interesting history, being comprised of 25 separate buildings dating back several centuries as well as being used for scenes in the movie Ocean's Twelve. All the buildings have been connected internally although some rooms can be accessed only by elevator... More

I used to book into a very large very expensive hotel in Dam Square, when this was full I was forced to find an alternative. Well I now feel stupid because for the same money you get a genuine Dutch quality-hotel experience rather than non-descriptive corporate rubbish. I will recommend this hotel to anyone from business travellors to honeymooners.....Stag and... More

I booked Hotel Pulitzer using SPG points while the hotel was still an SPG member. Shortly after booking, I received an email letting me know Hotel Pultizer is no longer an SPG member however they will honor my booking if I choose to keep my reservation. I replied immediately and thanked them for honoring my reservation. Emails that followed, offering... More

I stayed 3 nights at this hotel in May. Location couldn't be better - walking distance to main attractions. My room, however, was just ok. It is a pricey hotel and I expected more. Restaurant was also a little disappointing.

Great location in the most picturesque area of the city, with numerous historic sights and restaurants nearby. Walking distance to Anne Frank's house, Dam Square, the Red Light District with its coffee shops and buzzing nightlife, etc. The rooms are somewhat small; the executive rooms with canal view are a great choice for those who can afford them (some are...
