My 12 year old daughter and I stayed for two nights at Prinsenstede in the middle of August. We would thoroughly recommend it. The accommodation is essentially a self-contained apartment, with its own shower, loo and little kitchen, which includes a fridge, coffee machine and kettle. The main room is large with a window looking out on to the delightful... More

We stayed at the Prinsenstede Bed and Breakfast for six nights in April. The Prinsenstede, though not far from dining and night life options and tourist sites, is located on a predominantly residential street that is narrow, safe, and quiet, even on weekend nights. The room, located on the first floor and accessible by lift (!), is even more delightful,... More

We enjoyed our stay at Prinsenstede. While it is advertised as a bed and breakfast, the breakfast is optional and at additional cost. We would probably categorize it as a studio apartment / mother in law suite rental. In addition to a bed, toilet and shower there is also a small kitchen and a table with 2 chairs. Unlike other... The apartment is situated on a quiet street with one end leading on to one of the central canals (Prinsengracht). Great location and many places can be reached by foot for instance the Rijksmuseum and Museumplein which is only 10 minutes away. Very nicely decorated and well kept apartment. It's worth adding on the additional 5 Euros per person for... More

The apt is very clean and looks new and looks authentic what I loved when chose for booking. it is placed close to the center, yet in a very quiet street. The owners are positive and very helpful in any way. we travelled with a baby and faced no issues

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights after disembarking in Amsterdam from a river cruise. The location was perfect! It was about a 20-25 minute walk to the Central Train Station. It may actually take less time than that. There were so many people in Amsterdam that weekend that walking was slow. But that gave us plenty of... More

I stayed at lovely Prinsentede for a week and would definitely recommend it. The apartment is in a beautiful, quiet but central canal area and is nicely decorated with all the comforts of home. The bathroom was great with nice toiletries, the bed was very comfy although it consisted of 2 single beds pushed together for anyone that may be... More

The apt is just great! Has everything you need, Ingrid and Diederick are really sweet and always available, and so is their nieghbour Helene. The place is on a quiet street but really close to the center where's the madness of Amsterdam (8 min walk). We loved it also because it's peaceful and gives you the opportunity to see, breath... Each summer, since 2008, when visiting Amsterdam, we stay at wonderful Prinsenstede Lodging! This year again. Hosts are superb. Location could not be better! Great room. Right in the center of this absolutely fantastic city! We will be back again next year.

We've just had 2 nights in Ingrid and Diederick's beautifully appointed little apartment in a lovely central canal area of Amsterdam. This is a perfect combination of a self contained apartment with helpful but discreet hosts who live next door. The breakfasts were great value and made a great start to the day. We will definitely return!
