We loved out stay at this bed and breakfast. Joyce was a wonderful host. The room was small which we knew and there was no air conditioning which we also knew. This was not a problem. We kept our suitcases in the bathroom because there was plenty to room in there. The bathroom was very modern. Joyce brought food to... More

Stayed from 30 Sept. to 4 Oct.in the apartment; reasonably comfortable and a good location. Noisy because of the construction across the street at the university. Owner/manager Joyce Small would not allow us to use the washer/dryer. Little privacy as she entered the apartment whenever she wanted and at least 2 times a day. In the afternoon she dropped off... Just got back from AMS. We rented the studio apt and it was very comfortable and roomy for 593euros for 5 nites. We thought this was good value, especially since Joyce Small, the owner was very attentive to my especial dietary needs (no carbs). She gave us more ham and cheese than jam and sweets. Thank you Joyce. The room... More

We rented the double basement room where the owner and her partner lived which shared her front door, hall and downstairs toilet. On the first night we ran out of toilet paper and could not find a spare supply. The room and bed were fine but the fridge in the room was noisy. My sister in law and her husband... More

This is a place 25 minutes away from the city center and near Amsterdam University. We stayed a room downstairs not upstairs. It was not a comfortable room. The bathroom is inside but you use the toilet with the owner and her husband all together.Mrs. Joyce is also an owner who you can't need something from, or ask something to.When I stayed there... My wife and I spent 4 days in Amsterdam on a multi-city European tour. We stayed at B&B Reuben based entirely on Trip Advisor information and were not disappointed. Joyce is a wonderful, helpful host. As well as providing a comfortable, spacious room, she showed us many ways to better experience the city more efficiently. We were on the second... More

We decided to book this room because of its location and price. We enjoyed the location and the canal view from the room. We rented bikes to get around Amsterdam which worked well for us from this location. We stayed in the smaller of the two rooms and found the room to be quite small and the decor very outdated.... My wife, me and our 8year old son stayed here for three nights in June 2013. The woman who runs it, Joyce, gave us the bigger unit because there was three of us and we were very happy. Here is what we appreciated about this place. 1- spacious - this place is actually an apartment, not just a bedroom in... More

i stayed here in the studio for 5 nights in Amsterdam and overall, it was a pleasant experience. with the nearest metro station Weesperplein located really nearby, the b&b was easy to find from Central Station. this is the perfect location for tourists, without having to settle for expensive and crappy hotels in rowdy neighbourhoods. Positive: -Clean and spacious (bathroom,... More

B&B Ruben was an excellent choice in Amsterdam. B&B Ruben was located in a peaceful neighborhood three blocks from the tram and two blocks from the subway station. Joyce and Oliver made sure we had breakfast by leaving the food inside our room the night before. Our room was clean and very hospitable. I would highly recommend this Bed and... More
