This hotel has only three rooms. We had the Canal View room and it was great. Nice large room with ample space. Our friends were in the Patio room and again it was lovely. The owner was very informative and recommended restaurants. The only thing is there is no dining room and Francois brings your breakfast to your room but... More

Francois was a very generous host: With assistance, with recommendations, and breakfast with fresh bread every day was a great way to wake up. We'd always end up with a extra croissant or yogurt to put in our bag for later. The room was immaculate every day, very romantic, and we loved the location. We were in Amsterdam for King's... More

Great location but Taxis did not wanted to bring us to the Hotel because was 15 min walk. Ok to do but we had our 75 yr old mom and her suitcases :( not easy walk. Once there our room was in the basement - clean and beds very comfortable but small and crampy for 3 adults and our luggage.... More

Stayed in Amsterdam for two nights following a river cruise. Though the weather in Amsterdam was not the best, the Posthoorn still allowed for us to say we had a wonderful time in Amsterdam. The location was ideal, the host was so gracious, and the breakfast was top shelf. Definitely will return.....hopefully to more sun.

What a treat. All the reviews are absolutely true. My husband and I stayed at The Posthoorn for 5 nights in early June. The room was perfect, the breakfast delicious and the location was ideal for exploring Amsterdam. We also enjoyed all the restaurants that our host suggested we visit. He was lovely and helpful and had only good advise... More

I picked The Posthoorn because of the wonderful reviews on TripAdvisor and I was not disappointed. Everything that has been written is true! I was a bit nervous about reserving a room in a foreign country without leaving some sort of deposit or credit card to guarantee the room, but I didn't have to worry. The owner,Francois, was a most... More

We loved staying at this bed & breakfast! We were warmly welcomed from the beginning by the owner. He went through in great detail of our surroundings and history of his home. Our room was lovely and comfortable, bathroom was very modern and fantastic! Greatest in the morning with a great breakfast spread was also so lovely! Wifi worked super... More

We stayed in the lovely bed and breakfast for two nights prior to our River cruise. It is within walking distance of the train station. There are three rooms total, each with their own bathroom. We were in the room with a outdoor terrace. The beds slept great and the room was very quiet. Location is close to everything- walking distant... More

I stayed for 2 days, was my 1st visit to Amsterdam. Loved everything in this little hotel. Large room with a small terrace but with no view. François the owner is very nice and helpful, offering you the map once you arrive. Very clean room.

The Posthoorn is a gem. My mom and I stayed at the Posthoorn during our recent trip to Amsterdam and I can't say enough wonderful things about our experience. It is located in a nice, non-touristy area with a lot of options for restaurants, shopping, and drinks. The accommodations were comfortable, clean, and private. As so many others have noted,...
