Worst hotel and unprofessional staff. Don't get lured by their deals and ads. We booked this hotel way in advance, but when we got there, they don't have a room. We were sent to a sister hotel far from the city center. When got to the other hotel, they were not even aware of the transfer. When we got a... More

Stayed here for a night on my 20hour layover flight in AMS on my way home to BOS. It was very easy to find, once you figured out the train + tram that you need to take to get there. The room was tiny but for the amount I paid for, it was actually okay. This hotel is close to... More

Stayed there two separate occasions during October, two different rooms. Disappointed with cleanliness and maintenance issues from burnt/missing light bulbs to leaking water pipe connections. Mentioned to staff-was informed hotel was for sale and (probably) little would be done! An honest response at least!

I stayed 2 nights. During in this hotel I was very comfortable. The room is little small but no problem sleeping. If I will travel amsterdam again I will choose this hotel again. The van gogh museum is near the hotel You can walk only 10minutes. zzzzzzzzzz

We came to the hotel at 11:00 and got the room very fast. The girl in the reception was nice and friendly. We came in to the room and we noticed that the toilet seat was broken in half. It was definitely disappointing and un esthetic but it didn't really bothered us,we got a really nice room with a balcony... More

I booked a double room and very much enjoyed the wee terrace with a cute garden overview. The staff was helpful, polite and willing to give you a hand with anything. The room was actually cosy: spacious, modern, clean, with a neat shower and bathroom, beautiful furniture and carpet. This area of Amsterdam is quite convenient if you prefer a... More

The hotel is located within walking distance to the Museumplien and a tram station is right at the front of the street (Lines 3, 5, 12 and 24). The neighborhood is not as busy and noisy as the hustle and bustle of the Amsterdam Centraal area, so if you want some peace and quiet at night this is a good... More

Would stay here again. Pros: super clean rooms, comortable beds, friendly staff, great location (walk 5 minutes to the museum plaza, tram stop at the corner, 15 minutes by tram to central station). TV in room. Cheap for the area. Cons: Simple small rooms. Comically tiny shower. Paper-thin walls makes it rough if you have loud neighbors.

Came there for the first time in the end of March and less than 2 months later I had booked me back in to this little cozy and peaceful hotel in the south east outer city center of Amsterdam. The staff is all very friendly and the cleaning lady does her job perfectly. It only takes you ca 10 or... More

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighborhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
