Less than 20 minutes from the Central Station by tram, centrally located at the edge of the Amstel river, the bed and coffee Amstel Riverview offers nice rooms some with Amstel view or Garden view. Each room is equipped with free wi - fi, and on each floor there is a pantry fully equipped with kitchen facilities, and all day... More

A friend and I were in here for the Amsterdam Dance Event and needed a simple place to get much needed sleep, get cleaned-up, and hydrate. This was the perfect place. The location is nicely located outside of the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, but it is within walking distance of most places you would like to visit. The rooms... More

The location is close to several good restaurants and central attractions. For convenience alone the hotel was a good choice, and the price very reasonable. The hotel itself is clean and not dissimilar in quality to a UK Travelodge or Ibis - it does the basics. The bed was comfortable, the room light and airy, and the kitchen handy for... More

This accommodation is really a hidden gem. The price/location/quality beats all. The view of the Amstel River is stunning. The rooms were very clean and cosy. The bathroom with shower was very nice. And there is free tea and coffee in the common kitchen. The location is in the city center, 5 minutes walk from the famous Amstel hotel. I... More

As expected, we had a shared bathroom but the shower was really horrendous: a tiny tiled room with a plastic curtain to protect the wooden door which is actually the shower door... As well, the beds were uncomfortable and I'm not too sure about the cleanliness of the mattress... Just like the other reviews mention, the steps are extremely steep.... More

Pictures advertised of the rooms look nicer than they do in reality. The building is old and feels quite run down. To enter you need to ascend a very steep and narrow staircase. Luckily we are not old or disabled, and travel light, so managed the stairs OK. The room did not have a river view, (as per hotel name)... More

We had a great stay here in October, we were in Amsterdam for the ADE festival so this place was perfect for us, as it was as in a quitter location so sleep was easy to do, but also with a tram stop just a few minutes away easy accessible to all the main sights and events. We will defo... More

The hotel room is okay. We were on the first floor. It is the only room on the main floor. Unfortunately, it is next to the street and we had problems with the noise. We had friends staying in a different room they had no issues. So, I would stay again, but only if I could stay in one of... More

The picture on the website was not the room that we stayed in. The room was not en suite as promised. There was a separate shower and toilet beside the room but the shower was not adequate. The room was quite small and it was located at the top of the building. I would check the place out before booking... More

Staying in De Pijp

Neighborhood Profile
De Pijp
Bustling Albert Cuypstraat serves as the main drag through De Pijp and the location for Albert Cuyp Market, the largest and most famous of Amsterdam’s many outdoor markets. Beyond this sometimes-frantic thoroughfare, tiny lanes beckon urban explorers in search of the latest trends and hidden gems. Nearly half the residents living in De Pijp are foreigners and a good number of them are students. Here you'll find a multitude of ethnic restaurants, great cafes and bars, and a brilliant array of locally owned shops, all catering to a broad range of budgets and tastes.
