Beauty location. Tiny rooms but you won't spend a second in your room unless your sleeping. Literally everything you need is seconds away...laundry, restaurants, pubs , "coffee bars" everything. Staff are pleasant but as per Amsterdam policy there's no elevator so try for the first floor. Can't say enough about Amsterdam and this hotel puts you right in the middle... More

After a long flight overnight we were looking forward to getting to our hotel so we could relax and take a nap. We got to Acostar checked in and were told our room was on the 4th floor. THERE IS NO ELEVATOR! We began to start dragging our two suitcases each up multiple flights of stairs, luckily the front desk... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for the review. When you check in and came down that you was not satisfied with the room. We have promised you to change you the room the next day, and you agreed. The first thing what you did was going to the pub and came back drunk. So you fall down from the stairs and... More

The hotel is located in the center of the city. I stayed there after a massive screw-up by KLM made me stay in Amsterdam overnight. The taxi ride from AMS was 45 euros, but there is a shuttle bus to the airport for 5 euros that leaves from about 2 blocks away. I appreciated the helpfulness of the man at... More

I was at this hotel on 14th of Sept in room 202 and everything was fine until I just wake up thru the night and realize that someone bites me!!! It was a lot of bugs full of my blood! I run to reception and they gives me another room but on the next morning they even don't propose me... More

Stayed at the Acostar Hotel for 3 nights & I cant fault it in many ways? Its a great little basic hotel. I noticed a lot of negative reviews after I booked here and didn't know what to expect... I don't know what people are moaning about now! Yes, the rooms are small, you're In Amsterdam, there not massive buildings.... More

The room was very clean (however the bathroom did smell like drains), in a great location and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The main problem I had with the room was that it didn't have a kettle which was rather annoying. It's in a great location and if you want to visit a coffee shop I recommend the... More

Got the room cheap online. Very clean, and superb location. The rooms are quite small but being so close to everything you don't spend much time in the room. Staff were friendly as well. If we got it for a similar price would definitely go back.

My 3 friends and I were in Amsterdam for 3 nights with not a huge budget and therefore really wanted a location that was going to be easy to see the main sites. Everything we wanted to see was in walking distance, as well as being in such a nice neighbourhood which was great for shopping. We were lucky with... More
