Me and my partner have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Acostar. I deliberately booked the suite room after reading the bad reviews. The hotel told me the suite was the best room. When arriving in our hotel room 502 I was pleasantly surprised. The room was lovely!! Nice and spacious, the bed was really comfy, the... More

This was my first visit to Amsterdam and it was for my partners 30th birthday so i wanted it to be special, i was very nervous about staying here because of some of the reviews i had read so i rang ahead and spoke to a lovely man who promised me one of there best rooms. On arrival we were... More

The rooms were basic. Female staff were friendly and the lo ation was great but, I'm giving this a low score because we had a cold shower for the 4 days we were there (in -2 to 2 degree Celsius weather). We complained on the first day and the receptionist guy came up to the room to check it out... More

Dear Chanel, Thank you for the review. My colleague went upstairs to show you how the shower works and feel the water is getting hotter. That there is a stank in the bathroom you didnot report to us, and the toilet brush is not fixed on the wall. We can get it off the wall and clean it, but that... More

Went for a weekend stay with the mrs 15th and 16th january 2016 Arrived early and knew in advance that our room would not be ready until 3pm - the staff were very helpfull and let us put our luggage in the luggage room and we went out for some food etc while we waited. Me and my friend stayed here in November for 3 nights and 4 full days. We arrived at the hotel well before check in time and the staff were so accommodating. They did say that unfortunately the room wouldn't be ready until later about 2pm but we did expect that anyway and they were very polite about that, however they... More

First of all with the place- the pictures you are posting on your website are a complete misconception of what the actual room looks like. When we arrived after being up since 4 in the morning for a our flight the first thing we wanted to do was to check in our luggage, check our room out and have a... More

It´s a standard hotel. The best is its location, 200 meters from the Leidseplein, a 15-minute walk from Dam Square, is also close to the Vondelpark. The room was really small, you could not locate the baggage. They gave the room in good condition but the cleaning service was not every day. No elevator (like most hotels in Amsterdam) so... More

Great location. However very small. The stairs are a quite workout. I received room 503. Which is literally all the way up at the top. Room has the essentials. A bed and shower. Room wasn't clean when I got there. Had to go all the way back down to let the front office know. Had to leave until housekeeping went... More

Very small rooms , limited facilities , not enough drawers, not a good view, you can not get a clear deal online here, be careful evenif you have the reservation confirmation with fixed price emphesising that "all taxes included" ,again you will have to pay 5% the city tax over your contract. No lift for so many stairs, at least... More

Dear Guest, We are sorry, because you makes a mistake when you made this booking. You thought it was included the city tax, but on the website shows you every page that is not included. We have a lot of stairs. For you it was not a problem, because you stayed on the first floor. You write a bad review... More
