I said in the heading that it is more like a very nice hostel than a hotel, because it is very clean, nice bathrooms, they have Wi-Fi, and provide toiletries and towels and there is a TV with English channels!! These are all very nice things but the rooms were crazy small, some people have said in their reviews here... More

The location is good, central to all city points, 25m walking from every were. Supermarket at around 2 blocks away (main Tram street), restaurants from all world places 2 streets away etç etç etç 2 coffe shops and a Disco in front (Gay Disco, may interest to know), but even at the street there was no noise. Due to the perfect location, it is possible to go anywhere on foot. Rooms and their bathrooms are clean. There is no elevator in the hotel and it is hard to carry luggages through those steep stairs. They have free wi-fi.

It is very conveniently located in the heart of the city. I stayed 4 night but changed 4 rooms all very small but good with funky bathroom ( in one of the room I had a tiny bathroom with two showers). Two rooms were at the front and two at the back of the building, they were all very quite.... More

We stayed in the Acostar on Jan 1 as we were travelling onwards to southern Netherlands the following day. As the hotel was full our group was split up, meaning that my mother (59) with vertigo had to climb up to the 3rd floor on slopping, shallow steps. We had lots of baggage with us as my sister was going... More

I chose Acostar as it was listed on my company's booking service and several doors down from the hotel I planned to spend a long weekend in (the excellent Golden Bear), in Amsterdam. Additionally I think its good to stay in smaller hotels to support small businesses but in this case I regretted not going for the safe option of... More

If you don't care where you crash and want to be next to a coffee shop and a club that stays open all night, this is the place for you! It's a great location and friendly staff, I'll give them that, but the rooms are so small you can barely get the bed into it. Definitely not for a family... More

We've recently stayed in the acostar. The staff seemed to be friendly enough. The room size was allright, not the biggest but we did not have the highest expectations. Locationwise one of the bests! Everything is just a minute away. Stairs can be exhausting after a long day of having fun :)

I wasn´t expecting much from a low-cost hotel but the rooms really were tiny and the carpets were all stained (I dread to think what with!). No lift and we had a room on the 4th floor. The stairwell smellt stale and smoky despite the fact that smoking is forbidden in the hotel. Definitely don´t go there with children as... More
