A friend and myself stayed here when we travelled to Amsterdam a few weeks ago and had a brilliant stay! Very friendly and helpful owners and comfortable accommodation. Extremely close to the city centre and central train station! Also very good price. Would definitely stay here again!

We came here for a weekend trip and stayed for two nights at Amsterdam Hotelboat. It's in the vicinity of Centraal, but if you want to go to the city, you'll need a cab. The personnel is basically non-existent, noone helps you with anything. And if you happen to talk to the Hotelboat guy, he'll only bend your ears with... More

If you are looking for value for money and convenience, you have both. Spotlessly clean with a substantial buffet style breakfast. Easy walk from Central Station and we walked to all the tourist attractions from here. Saved money on transport and you really see and get the feel of Amsterdam this way. Only small negative is that there are no... More

The best hostel in Amsterdam, very clean and warm. Stuff is very pleasant, actually they are owners and they are always near to help you with everything you need. They provide you with a city map and very useful inside tips. It really felt like home. Also, you can help yourself with water and beer or juice on a very... More

If you are looking for a budget hotel in Amsterdam, this is a good option. 10-15 minute walk from the Central station. The room also comes with breakfast. Very small room with double decks but it is clean. The toilet and bath are shared and although small, they are kept clean. The owners are very nice. They will help you... More

This is a fantastic place to stay - it is very close to Centraal Station (which makes travelling around very easy), it's clean, cosy and friendly. The owners are lovely and very knowledgeable, they provide you with a city map and tell you where all the main attractions are. Also there's a stand filled with mini discount cards that will... The room is very comfortable but the bed may be a tad short for taller person. The hotel is very clean and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Every morning they serve great breakfast and the common area is a very pleasant place to be. The location is very good as well as it is just 10 minutes walk... More

Really good idea for a hostel, very clean and tidy. Helpful friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Room are tiny but sufficient. Toilet and shower facilities excellent - actually the shower was the best hostel shower I've ever used, great pressure considering its on a boat... Decent free wifi. Only negative is in my experience the sleep quality was terrible, as... More

I found this accommodation at short notice so was pleased with the pricing. The breakfast was ok and the hosts are great. They offered assistance on transport and were very kind to leave my room unlocked with my bag inside when I stayed out much too late on my first night in town. There is no nearby tram, you have... My boyfriend had booked the Hotel Boat t add a different experience to our trip. I was rather hesitant as I wasn't sure how weep. I would do in a confined space however, it was ten times better than expected. The Hotel Boat was clean and fresh with a nice breakfast every morning and a great location. Room sizes were... More

Staying in Eastern Docklands (Oostelijk Havengebied)

Neighborhood Profile
Eastern Docklands (Oostelijk Havengebied)
A visit to Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands presents the opportunity to marvel at its many modern architectural masterpieces like the Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam and the beguiling Python Bridge while taking in its scenic waterfront with its trendy assortment of cafés, restaurants, bars, and clubs. Here in this post-industrial (though in some parts still very much presently industrial) neighborhood, you’ll find a smart selection of cool galleries and shops as well as the kid-friendly Science Center NEMO and the National Maritime Museum.
