We booked into this charming vessel for a few days. The place is clean and excellent value for money. The owners could not be more helpful and were a delight to deal with. If you are on a budget and looking for a clean and safe place then look no further! Highly recommended!

Travelling alone in Amsterdam for a few days I was just looking for somewhere cheap & central to crash. I hadn't expected to find such a gem. Yes, it is noisy at night (you are staying in central Amsterdam - you have to expect something of a party atmosphere!) but if you aren't a light sleeper it shouldn't bother you... More

Good: + small size, quiet location - lovely in the sun + near some good restaurants /coffee shops + close to train station + friendly staff, very chatty and helpful + beds are nicer than they look! + free breakfast buffet and hot drinks Cons: - a little way away from the centre but only a 20-mins walk or so... + The Owners are friendly and helpful + Really clean + The cool-factor of being on a boat - Tiny rooms (not for claustrophobic people) - Really noisy as the walls are really thin. Groups of guests coming back drunk from partying in the early morning aren't especially concerned with being respectful and not making noise for the sleeping guests.... More

Came here after seeing it was very cheap and included breakfast. Me and my friend loved staying here, my friend initially had concerns the joys of Amsterdam and a rocking boat would not mix, but the boat was steady as a rock. The couple who own the place were lovely, the breakfast was continental and everything you would need, we... More

First impressions when walking onto the boat was WOW. I was so impressed by the Fleur boat. It was perfect for what we wanted. Me and my partner needed somewhere to rest out head in between venturing out into amsterdam. Location for me was perfect, 10 minute walk from central station, 2 minute walk to the bus stop, 10 minute... More

We stayed on the Hotelboat for one night on 02/01/2015. The boat is the first one you see on the Jetty, (although we didn't read signs properly and got lost) if you take the time to read the signs at the end of the jetty it's very easy to find. We walked about 10 minutes from the Central Station, so... More

The owner was very friendly and answered all of our questions upon arrival - including a tip about a nice lunch available from the top floor of the library. It was also great to be able to check-in at 12:00. The location is great, being close to the train station and reasonably close to the city-center. I slept through breakfast,... More

The rooms do not offer a lot of space and the interieur ist also not amazing. BUT... it is a houseboat, so you can't expect a big room with fancy beds... And so we really liked it. it was cozy and an amazing experience! The location is super, just a few minutes and you reach the train station and the... More

Staying in Eastern Docklands (Oostelijk Havengebied)

Neighborhood Profile
Eastern Docklands (Oostelijk Havengebied)
A visit to Amsterdam’s Eastern Docklands presents the opportunity to marvel at its many modern architectural masterpieces like the Openbare Bibliotheek Amsterdam and the beguiling Python Bridge while taking in its scenic waterfront with its trendy assortment of cafés, restaurants, bars, and clubs. Here in this post-industrial (though in some parts still very much presently industrial) neighborhood, you’ll find a smart selection of cool galleries and shops as well as the kid-friendly Science Center NEMO and the National Maritime Museum.
