Bjorn was very helpful when we arrived for our stay. The place is very small and he put us in the top floor room with a balcony. The location was very accessible to just about anything in Amsterdam. We were able to book museum tickets to the Van Gogh and Heineken Experience through Bjorn at the hotel and got discounted... More

What a charming little hotel. The Jordaan is a wonderful area to stay. Very quaint and some really interesting little speciality shops and some amazing bars and cafes yet note more than a 10-15 walk into the centre of "tourist Amsterdam" the nearest canal boat stop is about 5 minutes walk so if you buy a 24 hour or 48... We loved this little hotel. Our room was small but it had a patio that was perfect for a morning cup of coffee and/or a pre-diner beer. We really liked the location; it's a great neighborhood that's outside the main tourist zone and only a 15 minute walk to Dam Square and a 5 minute walk to the tram to... More

Amsterdam is a lively, noisy city, but this place, while right in the middle of it, is quiet and comfortable and so convenient. The staff are helpful and friendly. I appreciated the very reasonably priced minibar; it was the first time I ever actually drank wine from a minibar, such a nice treat to relax on the balcony after a... More

I found this B&B to be wonderful location to walk to almost everything in Amsterdam. There is shops, cafes and even a massage place a few steps away. The size of the room was bigger than a European hotel room. The host was very nice and helpful. I would recommend this B&B.

The finest aspect of B&B La Festa was the very helpful and kind owner. He welcomed us warmly when we arrived at 9:00 am (!) after our international flight, helping us settle into the room right away so we could explore the city for the day. He ordered us tickets for the Rijksmuseum (this is a wonderful service & will... More

The friendliest people we have met. Wonderful rooms and staff, clean, modern, comfortable. Plentiful breakfast in room. Shops and eats all around. Safe and welcoming area. Walk to most of city. Taxis are reasonable. Excellent public transportation. Watch out for bicyclers when stepping off curb.

I stayed here at the end of March with my Mum and sister to celebrate my Mums 60th birthday. It was in a fantastic location; easy walking distance from all the main areas of Amsterdam. It's a 25 minute walk from Centraal Station but if you're carrying luggage then the number 17 tram takes you to Elandsgracht, which is just... More

Great little B&B, close to the city centre but still in a quiet location. I cannot recommend this place enough. The room had everything you needed and was spacious and comfortable, the staff were friendly and the restaurant downstairs was fantastic. We will definitely be going back to Amsterdam as we had the most amazing time and we would definitely... More

The B&B was located in a great neighborhood in the Jordaan area. Everything was within walking distance, and we actually found it easier to walk than to use a bike or public transportation. The owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. We had the room with the balcony and kitchen, which was great when the weather was nice. The kitchen included... More

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
