I went here with my boyfriend because I didn't want to stay in a hostel but we couldn't afford a hotel so we went in the middle and stayed here. We found the place rather difficult to find with little signing but luckily I researched where it was and looked for visible landmarks. The room is rather small but that's... More

Avoid at all costs unless you want to be bitten to death by mosquitos! I ended up with 19 bites in total from this place! it is awful, dirty and mouldy! the bed was covered in hairs, the pillow cases and duvet covers had holes in. The curtains were covered in god knows what. Mosquitos were splattered across the walls... More

I booked this "bed and breakfast" without checking trip advisor first, as a surprise birthday treat for my wife, only checking the reviews out on the day of departure (which had me scrambling to cancel and book somewhere else). After reading some of the better reviews we decided to give it a try. We found the place fairly easily as... More

Bright and clean room, comfortable bed, it's not the Sofitel but it's really charming, excellent location, close to the center or Museumplein. We loved it !! But Watch those stairs !! Typical but a little bit dangerous.

When we arrived at the hotel we had trouble parking in the street €50 per day standard in Amsterdam! And we were stressed and a bit lost, but when we arrived at the apartment, Alex the owner went above and beyond the call of duty to help us. He drove us to and from the stadium where our parking cost... More

My boyfriend and I booked the larger room with en suite bathroom and stayed 4 nights - the room was nice and spacious, although the bathroom is small it was fine for our stay. Great location - you can access the whole of Centrum on foot from here (or tram stop directly across the road). The room was lovely and... More

I think the owner stays above. I think he is trying to save on electricity. He charge us extra 5% on top of the booking fee. He only accept cash. Share kitchen and you can't use the stove. Please don't come. Staircase very steep. Regret booking this room. Booking.com should cancel this hotel from it's list. BAthroom very small. No... More

I booked the room via booking.com and had no problems and I didn't pay any additional money. The location is very good, around 25 min walk from Central Station. There is a supermarket near Sasha. We were allowed to use the kitchen (microwave, make cofee and tea). Room was very spacious and clean. There was a tv and little fridge... More

My husband and I traveled all around Europe in May for a month. We found Sasha B&B online and read some bad reviews but still booked with him. We booked with him Jan or Feb and again our trip was in May. We had to confirm with him about picking up the key and time. So the day before we... More

The room was cute and very clean. So was the batroom, although it was a share. The downside was that the manager was 30 minutes late to give me the key and I had to wait for him, he did not pick up his phone and I had no idea how much longer I was supposed to expect him. Once... More

Staying in Canal Ring (Grachtengordel)

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.
