Booked in here for a few nights. Good location and easy to get to. Clean and tidy hotel and comfortable. Great shower, very powerful. Would happily stay here again. Nice friendly staff. Only downside was that there could have been free wi-if.

Quaint, clean, and well run hotel near to many of this cities delights. We were well looked after upon arrival by staff. Our room was neat, on the top floor and around medium in size, the bathroom was pretty small but manageable. You pay for wifi/breakfast which I thought was a bit of a downer considering the price of the... More

The room was nicely decorated and had a certain style which I liked. there was however no auto-climatization, isolation against noise and no free WIFI which was slightly disappointing as it grows for me to be a must have in today's hotels. The hotel was very clean, which I highly appreciated! The service was very helpful, also though they might... More

Hotel was very good. Room is clean and well equipped. I had a budget room, but it was very fine, except for some noise in the morning. It's 20min walk to center. Breakfast was average, could be better and more choices. Service was very good. Had to pay 4€ for WiFi.

Very nice hotel. Stayed there for 2 nights and was totally worth it. Decent size room and quite clean, Could be quite noisy at night if you have a room facing the road. But will likely stay there if I'm in Amsterdam again. Staff was polite and friendly. Location is ok. But for what you pay, its worth it.

I was a bit shocked by the size of the room, without the usual corridor, but just a square with one door to a small humble bathroom. Everything was very clean and comfortable. I loved the bed and the blankets but the double bed was actually two beds put together, which was not so nice. The staff was very nice... More

My friend & i stayed at this hotel during our four days trip to Amsterdam. It is not at the very center but conveniently linked. Upon arrival to the central station (Amsterdam Centraal) from the Schiphol airport you can take trains 46 or 51 and just two stops, go out, turn left and about 200 meters you will find the... More

I stayed here last week for 3 nights. The building is nice and it's located right next to a Metro with access to central station. There is also a number of tram lines giving access to most of the city. The rooms are nice and seem much nicer for the price than other hotels I've stayed in. The bathroom was... More

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighborhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
