We stayed at Amsterdam At Home for 3 nights during our trip to Amsterdam. The accommodation was perfect. Great central location in a quiet area. Chris & David were really nice & helpful and nothing was too much trouble. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Would definitely recommend staying here and would go back... Amazing service by David and Chris who were extremely helpful in all areas. Spacious and comfortable rooms , so much more to offer than hotel accomodation. Complementary food, wine and an honesty bar fitting to old world manor charm. Would definitely recommend Amsterdam at Home .

We stayed at Amsterdam At Home for almost a week, staff (nikki) was really nice and helpful. The unit we stayed in had a privet kitchen and dining area on the bottom floor and a spacious bedroom on the top. Shower had a reasonable water pressure and hot water all day long. The location is excellent! A quiet residential street... More

The owners are fantastic, really accommodating and upon arrival we were given a map with loads of places to check out marked on based on what sort of things we said we wanted to see. The room looked amazing in all the photos and I was sure there was going to be a catch based on the price, but there... More

Me and my husband stayed in Amsterdam At Home the first 3 nights of our Amsterdam holiday. We booked the apartment, which is very spacious and lovely. We felt like locals, as the interior really makes you feel at home. The apartment is located in a very quiet residential street in the middle of the centre. We walked everywhere as... More

Chris helped us to check in and took us to the studio, 2 minutes from the main office. Chris was very helpful and friendly, its hard to find a more serviceminded host/owner, I'd say. Studio we booked was a basement, but still it felt very fresh and bright. Cosey. A lot of care has been taken not only when it... More

We stayed here last February 2015, the studio room is really cozy and has everything you need, from a small kitchen, flat iron for clothes, even a hair straightener! Location is also very convenient, walking distance to a lot of great restaurants, shopping. Chris and David are very nice hosts, they gave us tips of what to do, where to... More

If you want to stay at a place for a real feel of Amsterdam then this is it. We had the lower ground studio. It is located in a quiet suburban street within a short walk from the main station. The directions shown on the web site are excellent. You book in at Tulips of Amsterdam, the other B &... More

Can highly recommend the two floor apartment, very comfortable, cosy and in a great quiet location. Easy access to metro, train station, bus station or just short walks to access all of Amsterdam. Chris is a lovely host (the small touches mean the most) and we hope to meet you again one day. Thank you - Jayne & Joel, Bristol.

I loved staying at Amsterdam at home. Our flight was delayed by 1hr 50mins and meant that we would arrive after 10pm. I contacted Chris all stressed about being late and he got back within half an hour if that! Once arrived in Amsterdam we then got lost! (poor map reading skills) and eventually found the tulip of Amsterdam and... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
