Beauty place with very friendly and responsive worker. She (Maria) just wonderful and helps in everything. Note: in the room leads a narrow circular staircase and it is almost impossible to raise large bags. We left out our luggage in the lobby and took upstairs only bags and trolls with the necessary for accommodation stuff. The breakfast was nice. There... More

On the internet "De Baronie" is presented as a "Bed & Breakfast" place. However, it's more a student-like 4 story canal house nearby the city centre. Every floor has it's own old fashioned apartment with a bed, tv, wc/shower, small kitchen and a dining table. Breakfast is not included in the price. But you could arrange it by yourself using... I have stayed several times, and I think there is no better authentic B&B in the centre of Amsterdam! Walking distance to the binnen bamtammerstraat with several nice restaurants, and close by a good local fish restaurant 'eenvistweevis'. Tuhami is a very helpfull landlord. He creates an atmosphere you have the feeling you never left home. And the pictures on... More

When we booked we were asked to phone to advise arrival time. We arrived in Amsterdam at about 9am and phoned several times to make time to check in. Phone went to message all the time which was not responded to. When we turned up on doorstep at 3pm manager said "oh yes I missed your call didn't I?". He... More

This is NOT a 3-star hotel. The rooms do not even have bathrooms. The staircases are very steep (almost like a ladder on one floor). The location is great and if you don't mind sharing a bathroom it would be OK. But we booked a "standard double room" and didn't learn that it did not include a bathroom until we... More

He just disapears past 5pm even though he leaves a phone to call. Therefore if you have a flight which is delayed like we did with no means to call you completely lost all the money you payed him. We arrived around 6h30 because our flight was delayed and we tried calling from a friendly bartender's phone but he would... More

this B&B was very difficult to find. though it was located close to amsterdam centraal station, this area is residential area, hence there is no landmark around. and top of that, this B&B doesnt have any sign of its name outside so if you dont have an address with you, you'll never get there. about the building itself, as other... Booked this hotel through booking.com as a last minute booking to allow us to bring our dog to Amsterdam with us in a home-like environment because it stated that "PETS ARE ALLOWED" It didn't state "PETS ARE ALLOWED WITH ALL OF THESE STIPULATIONS". Little did I know that "Pets allowed" would result in such a mess. The owner sent the... More

Location: B&B situated app 700-800 m from the Centraal Station in Amsterdam, in a truly beautiful 17th c. Dutch house in a nice quiet street overlooking one of the canals. 5-10 min walk to the Nieuwmarkt or 15-20 min walk to the Dam where you can catch several tram lines. Cleanliness: Quite ok Service: OK, but nothing more. There was... More

We loved very much this cosy B&B on the canal in the center of the city, full of old genuine atmosphere we always look for when travelling! The owner has been friendly and made us feel at home. The only negative thing was that from your room you could hear everything going on in the house(the building dates back to... More
