Stayed here for two nights on a stag weekend, the room was small for three grown men and the toilet/ shower room was very cramped but it was clean. The beds were comfy even if I had to sleep on the top bunk something I haven't done for quite a number of years. The bar was ok, charging 4 euro's... More

I stayed at the Botel for two nights. I was excited at first when I found out it was a boat but oh, how my excitement quickly faded once there. The rooms were very basic and ridiculously small. The room was so small I had to pick up my suitcase and lift it over the bed to get it in... More

Stayed in the botel for 3 nights. Rooms are basic and nothing special but being on the lower deck with the sea jusy outside the windows makes up for that. Would stay here again when I come back. Travel to Dam Square is about 15mins. There is a boat from centraal station straight to the boat which is free and... More

Things must have improved since previous reviews. Staff were helpful and polite. I didn't have to wait to be served at the bar and the prices were reasonable. Evening food was limited to burgers or sandwiches, however the reception will order pizza or chinese takeaway delivered to the hotel. The lack or tea making facilites and breakfast menu has not... If you have never been to Amsterdam before your first visit should be a memorable one and thats why ive taken to Trip Advisor to tell everyone about the Botel. It wasnt my first visit to Amsterdam as I used to live and work here back in the day 2001-2003 and remember people talking about this moored up vessel at... More

First stop on our tour, didn't spend much time in the room at all. However the room was clean and neat (Good for a couple hours shut eye). The hotel is conveniently situated close to Amsterdam. The ferry ride you have to take to the hotel adds a bit of flavour to the whole experience, especially if one is not... More

I acutally liked this hotel, but very basic which is just really what we were looking for, clean and comfort for returning from day out. we had a great view from out window. It would be reviewed as excellent but its too basic for that wont really recommend for families with young children either. We didnt have a meal but... More

Came here in Feb 2014, just used it for a place to sleep and wash and for that I can't complain! The breakfast came in with the package but we were too hungover to eat anything (lol). Amsterdam is the nutsssss!!!! Would stay here again as easy to access from the city centre on the little ferry.

Very small could hardly fit the suitcase through. Was practically showering over the toilet it was that small, shower tap squirted water to the side which wet the entire bathroom. Toilet was not cleaned when we arrived. Breakfast was awful. Close walk to ferry to take to main Amsterdam. Plus side the staff were extremely friendly!

I had to visit Amsterdam on business and decided to add on a few days for sightseeing. I opted to stay at the Botel, Amstel NL due to the reasonable prices on offer. I booked a double room with en-suite and breakfast included. On arrival I was warmly greeted and as I had arrived early, was asked to wait in... More

Staying in Centrum

Neighborhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
