I stayed in Hotel Van Gogh for 2 nights in late August, The room was clean, spacious and well equipped. The staff were helpful and sorted out tickets and taxis for me. The breakfast choice was well varied and great value for money. The Hotel is perfectly placed for the Van Gogh Museum & Rijksmuseum and Vondelpark while there are... More

It pretty much has everything you would want out of a hostel. Good location, right next to the Museumplein. Good transport connections, trams that run right through the city to Centraal stop 150m walk from the front door. Good price, very reasonable for the time of year I visited. Good breakfast, very reasonable price. It is not too far from... More

This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. I was in a 6-bed dorm with a private bathroom - definitely worth the extra money! The atmosphere was more like a hotel than a hostel. The whole place was modern, new and very clean and tidy. The breakfast was great and excellent value, and the staff were very helpful,... More

While they did comp me breakfast, the management screwed up my reservation which required me to move three times in the week I was there. Furthermore, the hotel was brimming with guests who were not always courteous (a pair who decided to change their clothes in the luggage storage room because they couldn't check in yet). Some of the staff... More

Excellent hotel for 2 young ladies exploring Amsterdam. Very close to the 'champs elysees' of Amsterdam and easy to get to the centre of the city. Clean, warm and very enjoyable. Will definitely return on future trips.

The hostel section was great for my friends and I when we were visiting Amsterdam. It is right opposite all the museums and you could walk into town easily or just take a tram from the station just over the road. The interior is modern and the rooms are very comfortable with clean bathrooms. Definitely a good place to stay.

The hostel section of the Van Gogh Hotel is a very good plac for groups to stay. The rooms are clean and feature comfortable beds. There is one bathroom in every room, as well as a safe for every traveller (in most rooms). We didn't need service often, luggage deposit was good (though not controlled), breakfast in a loud and... Within the orbit of the hotel, the Van Gogh hostel offers excellent value for money. We had an 8 bed dorm for approx 28 Euros per night. Rooms feature a balcony, wifi, air conditioning, flat screen tv, individual safes and a hotel style bathroom. Location is perfect and can be accessed from central station via tram. For a hostel, it... More

I stayed here with 5 friends, so we stayed in the hostel, which is completely separate to the hotel side. We arrived too early for check in, but we left our bags in the luggage room and went out to explore. Once back, it took us a while to check in because there was a large group check in/out but... Museumplein is a superb location for this Amsterdam hotel. Some of the best museums are located there. The ConcertGebouw is close. Tramlines conveniently connect it to different parts of the city, touristy or otherwise. There is a lovely common green in the form of Vondelpark within a stone's throw. I could go on about the lovely location, but let's get... More
