I was just here for the past couple of days with a friend and had a wonderful time. We wanted someplace nicer than a hostel but didn't want to stay in a huge hotel and this place fit the bill. Basically, coming back to the hotel every night felt like coming home to a friend's place, or coming home. The... More

I don't usually write reviews but when looking and booking at this place for my trip to amsterdam there were mixed views. Some people complain too much! This was the perfect place to stay with regards to everything. The staff were friendly, helpful and informative. The rooms were simplistic and offered the most important facilities that are needed when your... More

The Liberty is the true Amsterdam experience, small house with steep stairs, smallish room and narrow entry. But it is well worth the effort to stay. The location is excellent close to the station and on the canal. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and gave some really good suggestions of things to do. The people who stay there... More

For a start I'd like to thank Kimble for my stay. Before any one judges him and slags him of try talking to him. Shared a glass of wine and some local produce with him in the kitchen and was one of the highlights of my trip. The location is perfect 5 mins from station and a cock stride from... More

Stayed in this hotel for four nights with my boyfriend. From the minute we stepped in to the hotel the whole experience was awful! The shared bathroom facilities are appalling, not enough room to swing a cat in! Floor is constantly wet and you can't prevent this no matter how hard you try. We were also only provided with one... be warned, canal house, steep stairs!!! be sure to this is realy steep but acceptable as it fits the house, we arrived between 6 and 7pm in amsterdam and were looking for an afforable clean room which we found at the liberty hotel, we had a twin bed room on the top floor, no 3, the shared toilet and shower... Stayed here 3 nights, lovely old canal house. Rooms were spacious and clean. Owner was really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was free which was a bonus and also very tasty. Really good location, bathroom facilities were fine and had a small sink in room which was good, free tea and coffee making facilities as well. Would stay again.

Onr night at this hotel, view to the canal. Very comfortable. My daughter and I wished we could have stayed longer. The manager was very helpful and nice enough to let us stay till late night the next day since we had a late train departure (we were able to stow our suitcases, go for a last stroll of the... More

We stayed here for one night in the room with the canal view. We were pleasantly surprised about the size of the room. There is a small sink in the room too. Breakfast is not included but free (joke of the manager). And will be prepared for you while you sit at the table. The house is very old, from... More
