Awesome location on the canal which leads into the Franke House canal. Great location slightly away from the really touristy section. Chris & Clarity are great. Breakfast restocked every morning. Had museum cards to use and great guidebooks. Perfect set up for 2 couples or our family of 5. Walking distance to everything.

On a beautiful canal in a non touristy area, restaurants of all types within walking distance, 4 minutes to Anne Franke home, a wonderful host, what else can I say? How about this- He offered to ride with us to return our rental car since it was quite complicated to find the exact location near Central station- WOW! Or...since he... More

Right on the canal. Perfectly placed to walk to major attractions or easy walk to trams. Chris looked after us really well with perfect breakfast selections in the fridge and bread basket. I would stay here again and have already recommended it to friends.

The BloemBed offered us a great stay in the Jordaan, convenient to everything but quiet and peaceful. Just a few blocks from the Prinsengracht, this B&B was an easy walk to attractions like Winkel 43 (where we ate the best apple pie ever!), as well as to the Anne Frank House and Dam Square. The room was more than adequate,... More

We stayed here for 4 nights from 6 October. The b&b consists of two bedrooms and a communal breakfast/lounge area which are in the basement of a residential building next to a canal. One of the rooms is completely internal with no natural light or ventilation but it has a ceiling fan and, i think, air conditioning, although it is... More

What can I say such a lovely little b&b lovely quiet location so away from the hustle & bustle of Dam square but central enough to enjoy the beauty of Amsterdam. Thank you Chris a great host. I liked the fact it was so private, there were two rooms only at this b&b again ideal for a nice quiet weekend.... More

We recently stayed 5 nights at Bloembed - 4 of those were with our friends. It was an ideal space to share and we enjoyed having that common space to meet and eat. Amsterdam is an easy place to navigate and the location was convenient to various sites and trams. We very much enjoyed meeting and speaking with Chris. who... More

I had the pleasure of visiting Amsterdam for 5 nights this past July and our accommodations were right on the money. My husband and friends stayed at this B&B, which is ideal for 2 couples otherwise you share a kitchennete with strangers, which isn't always bad but this was ideal for 2 couples traveling together. The price was about 200... More

This is an excellently located B&B in the Jordaan district. It's by the canal and two very short blocks from the tram stop that takes you directly to Centraal Station. Chris & Clarita are very nice and hospitable. Take their suggestions for places to eat; Clarita knows her stuff. Chris is great fun to talk to and is sincerely interested... More

Staying in Jordaan

Neighborhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
