Just used this apartment as our base for exploring Amsterdam with friends and kids. It is perfectly placed so close to the old town, but just far enough away to be quiet on an evening. Spotlessly clean, with everything you need and the warmest of welcomes from the owner on arrival. Absolutely no hesitation recommending it.

8 women stayed at the Chariot Apartment for 3 nights in October. We loved the spacious lounge and dining area where all of us could sit and relax with a glass of wine after a busy day - plenty of sofa space for all. The kitchen area was well equipped and great for us to make breakfast and drinks -... More

We just stayed in Chariot apartment for 9 days while visiting The Netherlands. We loved the space for our group of 7 with enough bathrooms and showers to work for a group of all women. The apartment is located on the Singel canal just a short walk to just about everything in the central part of Amsterdam and with tram... More

Very well located. Clean and tidy. Has only two usable rooms though ( other two are veryy tight ) , and the stairs to go down are very small. The bathrooms are very small as well, with two toilets and three showers, all separated. The ventilation is not very nice. Still, very much value for the money due to its... More

I have stayed in a number of apartments in Amsterdam - usually in the Leidseplein area but this one is in a great location and just walking distance from Centraal Station. The host, Leon is very welcoming and made us feel comfortable on our arrival. The apartment is perfect for this who want to get a good night's sleep after... More

We stayed here with our family in mid-June 2015 and had a great experience in this authentic Dutch house. Location is very convenient ... we walked from Central Station, an easy 10 minutes walk, but if you have heavy luggage, you do need to negotiate the cobble stone walk. The house is a very authentic Dutch home facing a canal... More

This apartment was exactly what we needed for our 3-day stay in Amsterdam. We had four generations - my 4 and 5 year-old kids, my husband and me, my mom and my 94-year old grandmother. We gave my grandmother the main floor bedroom and the rest of us slept downstairs. The shared spaces were great and the location was ideal... More

This apartment was perfect for our 4 generation family (ranging from my 86 yr old grandparents to our 3 yr old son). Very easy to walk to from the Central Station, easy walk to Ann Frank House, Red Light district, canal boat tours, etc. The first bedroom is only 4 steps up (perfect for my grandparents) behind the kitchen, and... This is a lovely apartment, it is clean, spacious, in a nice location, only 5 minutes walk from the main shopping area and not much further to the Red Light District. I felt safe walking on my own at night, the street is well lit and it is quiet. I stayed here for 4 nights on a girls holiday. We... More

Having never used Trip Advisor to book an apartment before this could have been risky. However it was the best thing we could have done. This apartment is simply lovely - it's in the BEST location - really close to all the sights but not too noisy. The apartment itself was very clean, spacious and had free wi-fi which was... More
