Loved this place. Great location we were able to walk every where. With a few kitchen facilities to keep the price down though we nearly never stayed in! Very quiet room. Lovely couple that are available if you need them but do not interfere in your stay. balcony available which is good if you are smoker.

We are a couple, and stayed here for a few nights. The room is in the perfect location, and is surprisingly quiet considering the neighborhood. Our old feedback would be that the room could be better equipped. We didn't have a kettle! Very weird, as this is generally something all accomodation types have. Also, we had to use the same... I think that if you are a couple visiting Amsterdam this is the perfect place for you to stay: small, cosy, romantic, central positioned, close to everything and anything and compared to other hotel prices in Amsterdam it's really cheap Be sure to leave your car in the P+R Zeeburg and take the tram until the main station. From there... More

Anne's Room. The name almost says all, it's a little room, or rather a tiny appartment in the middle of the most hectic part of downtown Amsterdam. On the left hand you have the red light district and on the right loads and loads of restaurants, shops, bars etc etc. The room is located in a backyard, so even though... More

Within 15 mins walk from main station. Brilliant location. Welcomed by Kitty, who was friendly and helpful. Our room was up three very steep flights of stairs, which is typical of the area. The room was fine with very adequete shower/toilet, and kitchen area with fridge, stove top, small oven, kettle and coffee maker. Fresh flowers and a bottle of... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighborhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
