We spent the last night of our holiday in the Alp Hotel. We had just travelled in from Brugge on a very hot day with heavy luggage and were made to feel very welcome immediately by Nicole who is a real asset to front of house. Complimentary cold beers were enjoyed in the shady outside courtyard and the bags were... More

I stayed in the Alp Hotel for 2 nights at the beginning of July with a small group of people. Even though 1 of our group dropped out at the last minute & we each had to cover his share of the cost, we only had to pay £85 each. Considering how expensive Amsterdam is, that's a bargain! The hotel... More

The location of the hotel is much better than what one may think of, if just by looking at the map. The tram stop is right outside the hotel, 10 minutes to Dam Square, Central Station by Tram 13 and to Van Gogh Museum by 12, also in 10 minutes. A supermarket, Albert Heijn, is right across the street. The... More

We arrived very early in the morning from Sydney and were made welcome by the hotel owners. They stored our luggage and invited us to sit ion their sunny terrace and help ourselves to drinks, even though check in was not until the afternoon. They even let us have breakfast once the other guests had been served. Feeling refreshed we... More

Very nice hotel and very friendly staff! The location is very good and near to the best places to visit like restaurants, museums, parks. The Tram Line is in front of the hotel. Good breakfast. They always put some apples and chocolates in the room! Very kind. The only negative thing is the upstairs.

This is a correct hotel in Amsterdam, but the reviews might deceive a bit. On the pro side: really good location and tram connections. Very good breakfast, and free access to fruits and hot beverages. We had a room for 3 (2nd floor) with a balcony facing the back side, which was nice and calm (no noise there), although with... More

Free hot drinks all stay :-) Easy travel by tram to city centre. Pretty good room, tiny balcony though! Only real issue noisy cleaners in the morning attending other rooms... And uncomfortable pillows, take your own! Would use Alp hotel again!

Actually visited Feb 26th with my partner (sorry for late review). Location is superb as a base for exploring Amsterdam. Take note of previous reviews on how to get here on the bus - very simple to find. Clean, great room. Breakfast wasn't taken every morning but highly recommended as great quality. Staff are superb and cannot fault this hotel.... More

Pros. There are several tram stops just in front of the hotel taking you to the city center & main attractions directly, so the location is convenient for a city trip. Jordaan area, which is a ‘must see’ in Amsterdam for very nice&small designer shops, amazing canal views etc. (also for Anne Frank huis), is very close to the hotel, just... More

Little cosy hotel, that is absolutely worth to visit! For a start, the personel are sweet and VERY serviceminded, make you feel so wellcome. The rooms are very high standard, with brand new bathrooms. Our room had a beautyful terrace, towards the back garden, you should ask for that. We are definately going to visit this place next time we're... More
