Booked this hotel as part of a concert deal. Doesn't look much from the outside but is clean and modern inside. Rooms are a good size and are nicely decorated, and there is free wifi and a safe in the room. Transport into the city is via 2 trams (#7 & #14) into Dam Square and Liedesplein and takes around... We recently had en enjoyable stay at the Blue Square Hotel. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the amenities were satisfactory and the food was good, particularly the restaurant which was reasonably priced for Amsterdam and served decent quality food. The location was a bit out of the way and that is reflected in the price, however the local tram... More

My husband and I travelled to Europe for 2 weeks with our best friend and were part of a Contiki tour. We stayed here for 2 nights and were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Our room was quite large-similar to American-style hotel rooms and the bathroom was quite gorgeous. The decor was tasteful and the rooms were very clean. The... More

Stayed there for one night. Good size room, nothing to amazing. The building has a weird layout so some of the rooms dont really have a veiw besides for the room across a small courtyard. We asked to switch rooms which they did do for us. They had a car park under the hotel which was nice. Wifi in the... More

Other than being a bit out of the city I can not fault much else about this hotel. Friendly, clean and free wi-fi I was pleasantly impressed. Be prepared for a cab ride of about 20 euro to town but it is worth what it costs.

Stayed here for my niece's family hen weekend. Age ranged from 20s to 80s. Peaceful and clean rooms, extensive breakfast and very friendly staff. Good value for money - price is a trade off with distance to city centre - about 20 mins by tram, which is easily done

It is a good hotel. We loved the stay. But very expensive compared to other European cities. This hotel is far from Amsterdam city's major attractions.

We booked this hotel as part of an EasyJet package and found it easily on the outskirts following a train and tram ride from the airport. NOT central, but about 20 minutes out, we enjoyed the location in what appeared to be a very Turkish area - Our room looked out at 2 different waterways and the Turkish restaurant on... More

I stayed here for one night on a Contiki tour. Check-in was easy, arrived on a late afternoon. Don't let the blue outside fool you. The hotel was very nice. Nice lobby, free wifi, had a room on the second floor. Room was spacious, clean, decor was updated, bathroom was very nice, large walk in shower. Staff was friendly, restaurant... More

Hotel was pretty decent I found. It is located in the Amsterdam suburbs, which means you need to catch a tram to get into the centre. The area isn't exactly amazing but it's not run down and you don't feel totally unsafe walking around. The room I stayed in was very clean, however it was a pity to see that... More
