we read reviews on this hotel where people had turned up and their reservaton had been double booked or cancelled ,and believed this to be just one of those mistakes that rarely happens, however it happened to us .we initally booked a very cheap room with this hotel to turn up and find out they had cancelled are room without... more

This hotel was great value for money and it had a perfect central location. Just around the corner from the Heineken Experience & the Van Gogh gallery. We walked everywhere but there was also a Tram stop right outside the hotel which went to all the main attractions. Staff were very helpful. Went through the map with us without us... more

This hotel is great if you are used to warmer climates and tiny single rooms, single room was so small i thought i was in a cupboard, but it was great as I needed to lose aq few pounds and it had no air condictioning thus was about 100.F at all times, you could open the small window and listen... more

Excellent location. The rooms and the bathrooms are quite small but functional. Not as quiet at night as I would have liked. Free WiFi in all rooms (which was very important for me). One computer available to guests at no charge. The day I left the elevator was not working but the staff carried my luggage. more

I found this hotel excellent and quite frankly you get what you pay for in any european city. We also had breakfast included in our room price which was fine. Good selection and perfect for the short stay visitor. The location is good if you don't want to be in the throng of things. It's very near all the museums... more

Stayed for 2 nights mid week Jan 20-21st, got a good last minute price from easy to book. We were pleasantly surprised by the location. Right near the museums and upmarket stores, also some chic little bars nearby. It is really close from the tram stop, 1-2 min's walk max. It has been well refurbished, decor is good, has a... more

Very cute little hotel close to the Liedseplein nightlife district and Museumplein museums (Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum). Excellent value for the money, had a charming little single room on the top floor. Only critique: Their shower tiling runs right into the main bathroom with no divider, causing water to run all over the bathroom floor during showering. But they seem... more

Great location, just 3 minutes walk to RijksMuseum and VanGogh Museum, and shopping street. Hotel has been renovated since 6 months but big deception for paying a room at discount price of Euro 255 .- Reception very small, and often without any staff. Room really small, may be 12 sqm. All rooms on the 4th floor were of the same... more

Originally planned to stay in another hotel arriving on a Friday afternoon, but wasn't happy with that one at all even though I've seen good ratings for it on here(?) Walked into Robertramon (thinking it was still the Smit hotel, cheap but nice, stayed there back in Dec 07) and found it had had a massive makeover. They managed to... more

The RobertRamon Hotel is a great value and a nice little hotel in Amsterdam. Previous reviews run to both extremes, but I can certainly recommend this hotel. It is not a 5-star hotel, so do not expect huge rooms or tons of amenities. It is, however, a very nice hotel at a very low price, in an outstanding location. The... more
