We went to Amsterdam for a 5 days trip and so we were looking for a b&b to be more free and to make the most of our free time. The b&b is located in a very nice area, near Oosterpark and also the particular Tropenmuseum, that you can reach on foot. If you want to go to the heart... More

Thank you very much for writing this review! You recommended the Tropenmuseum, which is indeed highly recommended if you're interested in anthropology - although this museum is not well known. And from now on I will feel very embarrassed if I make a mistake when writing in English... More

We spent a week at Parkzijde B&B for New Year and we felt really lucky to find a pleace like this. The owners were adorable, with such a great breakfast every morning, good advices, and always making us felt like at home. We strongly recommend that pleace

Thank you for your review! Good to read that you had a nice stay. I hope you were not too frightened at New Year’s eve, when everyone in Amsterdam is allowed to use fireworks – and they all do… I was a good choise to go and see the big fireworks in the harbour. Much more quiet! More

I stayed at Parkzijde from 19-21 December and had a really wonderful experience.. The room was very comfortable and inviting. I loved the way they had put Christmas lights all along the bookshelf and near the window. It added a warm feeling to the place. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom lovely and the breakfast excellent. The B & B... More

Thank you very much for your review! The nice thing about winter with its longer nights is all the lights you see everywhere in the city. Since a few years Amsterdam is turned into a open air light museum from half December to half January, with many beautiful light art objects on squares, parcs and along the canals. You will... More

This was our fifth time at Parkzijde and hopefully not the last - it has everything we could possibly need. I have a neck problem so Martijne always provides a shaped memory foam pillow for me so that I get a good night's sleep in the soft but very comfortable bed. This time we were a little concerned when Martijne... More

Yes, we regret very much not to have been able this time to meet you again! But be sure, next time we will be here. However, we're happy that my sister has looked after you equally well as you were used to. She thanks you for the compliment! And thank you for taking the time to write this review. We... More

The Dutch think that one cannot start a day without a good breakfast. You need energy, walking around in Amsterdam the whole day! Thank you very much for taking the time to write this review. We hope you all will have a good and healthy 2015. And if you come back once, you are very welcome again! More

We recently spent two nights at the Parkzijde, and feel that we made an excellent choice. It wasn't important to us to stay in the central city, and it seemed that it was a better value to be a short tram ride away from Dam Square and Central Station, rather than nearby. The Park Room was large and nicely furnished,... More

We arrived on September 22nd, having reserved the garden room for three nights. The room was large and spacious, but still felt so cozy and comfortable. We felt right at home immediately! It was easy to unpack and set things out as needed, especially with the large wardrobe and ample shelf space. A laptop was even made available in the... More

We made our way without too much trouble to the Parkzijde B&B where we had booked a room for three nights. Parkzijde is a four story terrace across the road from Oosterpark, just a short tram ride from the city centre. The owners live in the top floors. The room we had booked was The Garden Room which "is situated... More

Yes, I realize now that we have to communicate better about bringing your own bikes to Amsterdam. Many Amsterdammers drive on old rattling bikes. That gives a nice local color to the city, but it also means that beautiful and expensive (sport) bicycles cannot be left behind on the street. It is necessary to park them at a safe place.... More

Stayed here in July and had a wonderful time. The b&b was in a nice location just outside of Amsterdam but easy to reach the centre by the tram just outside. The park opposite was very nice and we sat there one afternoon in the sun. The owners was very helpful with anything we needed. Breakfast was great every morning... More
