5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

We stayed here over New Year with our two teenage sons in the garden room. It was a good size room with pleasant views to a garden at the rear of the property. Bernard and Martijne were very friendly and helpful during our stay even advising on a good (and safe!) place to go to watch the New years fireworks... More

I've been with my boyfriend in this b&b for three nights! The location is excellent and you feel like at home! Breakfast is amazing! Room is cleane and with all the comfort that you'll need. Downstairs they keep a library with movies you can borrow! I'll come back for sure!

We needed a base from which to explore Amsterdam, that was close enough to either walk or tram to the centre. Quiet enough to relax, and comfortable. This met all our needs and more, Bernard and Martijne were welcoming and helpful, and provided us with lots of information on visiting their city. Printed maps were available if needed and the... We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Parkzijde. Our host and hostess welcomed us with open arms and made us feel right at home. Our room was very comfortable and our morning breakfasts delivered to our room by Bernard were wonderful. We noted that a lot of the dishes that breakfast was served on were hand painted by our... Martijne and Bernard are excellent hosts, giving us dining, museum, geographical tips and providing us with good tour books! Breakfast each morning was elaborate (we had enough to take some away for lunch), the room was charming, and the bed was very comfortable. Very highly recommended!

Martijne and Bernard are fantastic hosts...helpful with recommendations and precise with directions. The house is located across the street from a large park, but is also close to the center of town. The Park Room is clean and cozy. Breakfast is varied, delicious and large. We would definitely stay here on a return trip.

Thank you very much for your review! When you were here the park was still under reconstruction, but that was also meant to enlarge the park. So yes, we enjoy a large park now, larger than before. And there are even plans to enlarge it further. You're very welcome when you return to (a greener) Amsterdam! More

Thank you for your nice words! Whenever you plan to return, you're very welcome and don't forget to claim your 'returning guests discount'!. Your remarks about the conservatory (which is part of our Garden room only) reminds me to inform other guests that, when you have rent our both rooms as a family, it is possible to have your breakfast... We had a very pleasant 2 day stay at Parkzijde B&B in May 2015.. Bernard was an excellent host! Martijne was away on a trip, so we didn't get to meet her. He served us amazing and delicious breakfasts and was most helpful in answering all our questions. The B&B is so convenient to the tram and all the major... More

Thank you for taking the time for this review and for the very nice words! Sorry that I am a bit late with this reaction as we ourselves were on a trip to Paris. Good Value for money. The location is excellent, just 5 minutes away from the city centre and in a nice neighbourhood with nice restaurants and coffee shops. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, even lending us some raincoats as Amsterdam surprises with its cold weather and rain. Breakfast was nice and enough to keep you going during the day.... Thank you for your help to remind travelers of the climate here. Yes, rain is a part of our live in Holland. It doesn't really much rain, but it's always impredictable in all seasons. The good news is that you can avoid it by entering 1000 cafés and 75 musea in Amsterdam to spend an hour or so - and... More

We had a great stay at Parkzijde. The Garden Room was lovely, with a private conservatory for breakfast. Thank you for taking the time to write this review! If you have several days to spend, it's a good idea to ask us about interesting and less touristic things to see or do in and around Amsterdam. There is much more than one would expect. More
