The rooms were ok but the style was a bit outdated and dark. All in all the hotel was quite basic.
But I must say that the breakfeast was very nice. :-)

Stayed for 1 night. Nothing special. Room was clean, average beds, no amenities to speak of: 1 small tube of shampoo and 1 of showergel . Nothing in the room to reflect festive season, no coffee/tea facilities, no magazines, no writing materials, no minibar (although there is a vending machine for candy, condoms and sodas...). Quite disappointing for the price...

Very good hotel. Friendly staff. Had an upgrade to an XL room. Very nice room with
area to sit and relax. Mini bar and coffeemachine in the room. Windows on all sides.
Very clean. Bar downstairs which was nice. Breakfast was good and lots of choice both hot and cold. Can recommend it.

This was my first stay in this particular hotel, and was impressed by both the staff and the service.
However what was surprising was the fact that the hotel had only partial AC in certain rooms. Unfortunately three of my colleagues plus myself did not have a room on a particular hot night. If you left the windows open, the...

We were on a touring holiday and arrived at around 7pm without a reservation. We were warmly greeted and offered a room for a rate of 99 Euros including breakfast. Room was simple but very clean, omfortable and everything worked properly! The bar which is in the lower ground was friendly and we had a few beers at the beginning...

I went to Alkmaar for a busines trip in October 2008 and I stayed this hotel nearly 20 days. The room was very fresh, clean and quite large. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The breakfeast was very good. You can go Alkmaar City Center in 20 min. by walking. If you would like to go to AZ Alkmaar's...

Stayed on business and found the Hotel comfortable. The rooms are good with a great basement bar. This is not the last word in luxury but it is clean. To see the town you can walk (50 mins) or take a taxi.
There are some great bars and restaurants in the main town square. Great on a hot summers day.

Myself and two friends stayed at the Tulip in December for Everton vAlkmaar match in December. As previously stated this hotel is about 2 miles from the town right next to the impressive AZ Alkmaar stadium. It is a 10 euro taxi ride to town or a regular bus with clear timetable runs from right outside the Hotel fo 1 euro....

This hotel is only just inside the ringroad, and not very useful for the town centre (which is lovely, by the way). Staff are helpful, and the rooms are large and clean, but the lack of anything round about (apart from a Chinese restaurant downstairs) means I wouldn't stay there again.
