Currently staying at this hotel. If you want to feel at home away from home -this is exactly the place to be.The hotel is neat, relaxed and very conveniently located. The 15-minute walk to the city centre is pleasant and doesn't create any inconvenience. Free coffee, tea and beverages add a very graceful touch to the whole experience.I will definitely stay here again when... More

I recently stayed at Het Scheepshuys ahead of attending the Dutch Air Force show at Nearby Gilze Rijen. As other reviewers have commented the owner and staff are very welcoming, the hotel is small, cosy, relaxed and clean. There is a spotless kitchen where guests are free to store food and to help themselves to tea, coffee, soft drinks and... More

I really liked this place. Everything worked as advertised. Very friendly welcome, smiles all around, comfortable bed in bright room, functional bathroom with good shower. Free beer and soft drinks in kitchen, Internet very fast - wifi worked fine everywhere and ethernet cable, as well. I did not eat breakfast, although selection looked good. A nice change from chain hotels... More

This was an unusual stay; I came in late and had forgotten to phone ahead.. had someone who was visiting me from breakfast so was offered packed breakfast for both at the price of one... turned out to be sick all day anyway, and when i finally recovered (and got late checkout) helped myself to the breakfast things in the... It is small, cosy, stuff is very helpfull, breakfast is really a choose of everything. There is a parking. Rooms are cosy and warm. They have bicycles which you can take and just go around the neiborhood. I... More

I don't know why, but finding a good hotel in the Oosterhout/Breda region has always been a problem. Not anymore since we found this Scheepshuys. The location is perfect: away from the old Breda, but within walking distance, yet easy to reach by car and a hotel parking is available for free.. The nonsmoking rooms are in a beautiful old... The story behind this carefully restored house located a fifteen minute walk from the centre of Breda is fascinating and the owners should be very pleased with what they have created. From the personal welcome to the guest kitchen, to the lovely eating room and garden with bicycles through the unique, spacious and comfortable rooms this is a very special... More

We stayed here for two nights in room 7. We had to call 30 minutes prior to arrival, because there is no 24/7 receptionist. Franka, the owner, welcomed us and was extremely nice, friendly and proud of the work that has been done on the house. And so they should! It is very beautiful, tastefully renovated and decorated. My husband and I stayed here for two nights for a business trip. We were in room #10. Our room was spacious, extremely clean and inviting. The beds and the pillows provided us with a very deep and comfortable sleep. The bathroom is a bit small but that was not a problem at all! Our room was on the street... More
