We stayed towards the end of August for 1 night. Just as we entered the hall, we were greeted by a very attentive and friendly staff. The overall atmosphere was very friendly and homely. The location is great, right above the Vrijthof square, close to many nice cafes and restaurants as well as many boutiques. The only downside was that... More

My mother and I stayed in De Hofnar for 1 night. We booked through their website. We received a very nice welcome by Maartje who was very helpful and gave us some tips on where to have lunch. We used their parking near the hotel. It's a 5 min ride and a 10 min walk from the hotel (at the... More

I stayed in the attic room for 8 days. At first i came, i really worried bout its small (triangle shape room) n not sufficient air blowing in because there is just only one window on the roof slope. But when i tried to stay for the first night , i found it very private and comfortable to stay n... More

I stayed in this place two nights in April. I liked about breakfast, low rates and good location very close university and Vrithof. Rooms are tiny, walls are paper-thin, pillows are not best possible and stairs are narrow and high. With heavy luggage, stairs are not nice. Be aware that water for washing hands is in the room, but in... More

The hostel is ideally located only a 2 minutes walk from Vrijthof (the central square) and less than a 10 minutes walk from the main parking areas around the city center. Rooms are small but it's ok for short stays. Clean bathrooms and toilets, rich breakfast and perfect staff.

After working my way through their rather bad website I booked a few nights stay at the Hofnar in room 11 with a beautiful view over the church and square right opposite. Breakfast simple but nice. Stairs are steep and quite a challenge with a heavy suitcase. As the building is old and obviously not originally layed out as a... More

We booked a night at De Hofnar on our 3 week bike trip mostly in Belgium. It is located one block from the central market. We were met by Marta, who showed us to our room and where to store our bikes in their interior courtyard. We had a second floor room in the back facing the courtyard which was... More

With four friends, I have stayed at B & B Hofnar in Roermond. This B & B is ideally located, close to the market (but without noise from the street). The host, Ronald was very friendly and helpfully. Rooms were in a very good condition. Varied delciious breakfast (only less point: for 9 rooms, the breakfast room was rather small,... More

We stayed for three nights in room 12 (2nd floor overlooking cathedral) - very large room with en-suite. The room was clean and had all the facilities. Although very central it was also quiet. The staff were helpful but in reality we did not need much help. We took the option of booking a parking space from them which was... More
