First impressions are important and the Kruisherenhotel in the lovely little village of Masstricht does not disappoint there. The building itself, an old monastery feels perfectly at home on the cobblestone streets of the town, but as soon as you step through the copper entry, you are greeted with a combination of old and new...obviously design is what this hotel... What a beautiful place! It is impressive direct from the entrance. Very modern and stylish decorated. Modern but still warm. Lots of authentical details. The former church is transformed to a wine bar on the ground floor and a restaurant on a higher level. Staff is very friendly and attentive. For the car the hotel has a valet parking service.... First off, I always write to the hotel before hand that i need a quiet room with a king size bed. I have insomnia and is a light sleeper. When I checked in I asked again if the room is quiet, they assured me it is. They showed me the room and then I saw two twin beds put together.... More

Great dinner, with great wine arrangement, excellent food from beginning till end, including wines. Room was large, tidy, special. I liked the atmosphere, dining area. It was quiet and peacefull. Great place for a couple to be for a nice weekend. Personel friendly. You pay for the nice surrounding and quality.

Stayed here for only 1 night to visit TEFAF 2015. If we could have awarded 4.5 points/dots we would have. It is right up there, but not quite Excellent in every aspect. Setting/design/decor Five star for sure. The architects (SatijnPlus) did a fantastic job in converting this former 15th-century monastery to a contemporary hotel with 60 rooms (all differently appointed).... More

I decided to try this hotel because it was in a Church which I thought was original, even tough the price was around 4 times more expensive than la Bergere which I visited each year for probably 10 year before coming to this one. This Hotel was a total deception, the room which is called Double Prestige was not bigger... More

Maastricht why not? The best place to stay in this City is this hotel, walking distance to all the things you have to experience while you are in this friendly city, with the typical genuine and warm hospitality this city is known for. The hotel has spacious bedrooms with modern facilities and the Quality of the bar and restaurant are... More

I will be visiting again, given I previously stayed for a one-night business trip Stunning to look at hotel and very much 'a room' within a church - An excellent transformation and great attention to detail upon the renovation Rooms are lovely, good facilities within the room Shame it did not have a gym ...

First of all the place looks amazing. We booked a breakfast at this hotel as not staying guests, they charge you 30€ pp Nothing wrong with that as it is a high quality upscale hotel. But did was one of the most mediocre breakfast ever, I mean come on you have one of the most beautiful hotels in The Netherlands.... More

Yes it's a beautiful place and yes the rooms are cool, spacious and quirky and yes staff is professional but easy-going. It's one of those hotels that make a lasting impression. It's basically the number one place to stay in Maastricht - that's why I rate it 5/5. And that's why I won't complain too much about - the overpriced... More
