This is not just a most beautiful hotel - sleeping here and dining here is a heavenly experience on the highest level of hospitality. I am writing about my fourth stay at La Butte aux Bois, two private weekend getaways with friends and two business seminars. Each stay was just heaven.
On our recent stay (with two couples), we booked the "gastronomic short break" which included dinner. A couple of days before our stay, the hotel's management called us and asked if we were interested in participating a dinner concert. We agreed without quite knowing what to expect. Here it comes.
As usual, we enjoyed the location - six kilometers from Maastricht and right on the edge of a huge forest with lots of hiking trails and horse-riding -, the beautiful park, the spacious rooms, the swimming-pool, the sauna and steam room, and, of course, the historical ambiance of a converted castle.
