Really good hotel with some cute extras (nice toiletries including cool rubber duck, ipod dock/cd player -- why don't all hotels have this now -- and internet access -- not free as we'd expected, but still handy). Rooms are a little on the small side, but the views overlooking the square and location are second to none in this lovely... more

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The location is amazing, in the heart of Maastricht, great for a shopping weekend. :) The hotel was very funky and clean, with friendly staff that really cared about the details. When we arrived we got a Derlon bath duck en when we returned at night there were little brownies on our... more

Cannot beat the location. All top shops, restaurants etc. within walking range. Did not use my rental car once during our entire stay. Rooms are nice, staff is great, bath rooms mediocre (no separate shower but an uncomfortable bath tub with a malfunctioning shower curtain). Hotel is definitely trendy but without loosing its guest / user friendliness. You’ll find some... more

I stayed at the Derlon in connection with a last-minute trip to Maastricht to speak at a conference at the European Institute of Public Administration. What a wonderful hotel and city! I wish I could have stayed longer than the 36 hour trip my schedule permitted. The conference organisers booked this hotel for me, which is very conveniently located across... more

My husband just completed a 3-day stay in this hotel while visiting our daughter who is attending the University there. This hotel was a random choice, but we couldn't have been more pleased. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do...and we were fortunate to have a room overlooking the Square. It reminded me of a New York... more

Stayed four nights at the end of May. This was my second visit to the hotel; the first some five years ago. At that time the hotel was new and breakfast was regularly taken amongst the Roman ruins on the lower level. This (breakfast is now in the lobby) plus the reconfiguration of the lobby / restaurant were the main... more

A hotel so cool, it was almost cold. My wife and I just go back from a rainy couple of days in Maastricht, staying in the Hotel Derlon. The hotel is superbly located in the centre of the old traffic free town centre, with great access to Maastricht's excellent clothes, shoes and lifestyle shops. Sadly, because of the rain, we... more

My wife and I just got back from an Easter weekend escape to Maastricht, and had a terrific stay at the Derlon. The location could not be better, rooms are great, and most of all the staff is professional, accomodating, and seem to really enjoy working at the Derlon. You can't fake the last point, and it reflects in the... more

This hotel is located on my favorite square in the old town in Maastricht. On a nice summer night, a coffee on the square is unbeatable. The Derlon is a nice, modern hotel in a historic building. The rooms are decorated in a minimalist style, but are very comfortable. The breakfast was nice, but not lavish. more
