We visited for a long weekend great location very easy walking to all the sites of Maastricht. Simple, clean rooms with free tea & coffee. Very loud outside in the square at nighttime though we weren't well rested my friend heard through earplugs too!

We stayed for 3 nights. After the first night room was not made up/cleaned. On 4th floor without lift. No reception early morning or late evening. Complained but no apology. Never coming back. Too expensive for what it is. Family room only three beds, whilst ample space for 4.

We stayed here for an Andre Rieu concert so had the full package of hotel, dinner and concert on the Vrijthof square. All was excellent: great food (even on serving 3 courses to 150 people in 2.5 hours) and nice service (maybe sometimes a bit quick and to the point but still friendly; perfectly understandable on a massively busy day... I don't know what all of the annoying reviews are about concerning this hotel; I stayed there when I was in Maastricht this last time, and I thought it was great. The room was spacious and had a lovely hardwood floor, excellent plasma screen television, the bed was comfortable with lovely clean sheets, and there were complimentary chocolates with my... More

Maastricht is not a cheap city for hotel options, so we were delighted to get a place on the Vrijthof for a similar price to places much further out. On the plus side, you can walk everywhere and the rooms and bathroom are clean and modern. However on the minus side, the rooms are basic enough and the hotel facilities... More

No reception so we were dealt with at the Hotel bar. After paying in full we were shown to our room. The stairs were extremely steep and there is no lift available. Room was very small, but looked clean enough. After fully unpacking , a woman came to our room and asked if we would swap rooms with a woman... More

Location is great, but: 3 floors, no lift. Room 7 nice and clean, but no bedside table, no phone to ring a non existent reception, hiddious coffee making maching. Nice TV with no foreign stations and although it is a restaurant, no breakfast served. you are referred to next door, which does not open till 10 No double glazing, so... More

Location is great. But with that, everything positive about the hotel is said. A bad (sewer) smell in the café downstairs where we had to check in, no reception desk (the bar of the café), the staff (one person) first finished a phone conversation which still took about 5 minutes without any excuses afterwards. Bad sewer smell continued in the... More
