This is a very good hotel with a spectacular property. The rooms are very well appointed and large (we stayed in a Junior Suite). The bar and restaurant are good and value for money. If there was one area they could improve -it is making customers feel more welcome. We found that a few times at the restaurant and Reception... More

No exaggeration, this was probably the best hotel i've ever stayed in. I had a junior castle suite for 1 night, and everything about it was fantastic. Super comfy bed, extremely clean, great sized bathroom & shower, and a view of their big garden. The hotel grounds are a nature-lover's dream, lots of walking/biking trails, so much greenery, so calm... More

This hotel is in a renovated 17th century castle and three outbuildings which have now been connected into one. It is located in a small quiet nature preserve. You can walk on the grounds and hear nothing but birds. There are many bike trails in the area, with bikes available for renting. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but ours... More

We stayed here for one week and had a nice time. The grounds are lovely and the castle itself was beautiful. Love the little patio restaurant to sit and have a coffee or glass of wine, really nice. The room was large and was comfortable for ourselves and 2 children. Two issues with the room we had (senior suite) you... More

positive: - great looking castle, - nice green quiet surroundings, - amazing food - super shower but also: - suite did not look as good as on the pictures - lots of birdpoop on outside windowsill - in stead of double bed it was two single beds put together - at 140 euro per night overpriced

Stayed here for a romantic weekend. Location and Buildings were excellent. Room was very well appointed. Good wi-fi. Highlight was the food which was quite expensive but excellent quality. Highly recommend this hotel to stay for a weekend. Not sure there is enough locally to justify a longer stay but this is a great location.

This is a beautiful building; a castle surrounded by a moat and gardens. The rooms are well appointed and the restaurant serves excellent seasonal food. Very good quality wifi and free car parking on the other side of the moat. Excellent hotel for visiting Heerlen for business or pleasure! The staff are very nice and helpful. The location makes this... More

Didn't stay here but went for lunch. A castle surrounded by a moat and in a lovely setting. Food was very nouvelle cuisine, small potions, pricey but very tasty. They also offer specific wines to accompany each course if you wish to splurge the extra. The staff are very attentive and speak good English

I stayed here by chance because the Van der Valk, the sister hotel down the road, was fully booked. What a fortunate turn of events! Everything about this hotel was marvellous; the staff, the food and the rooms. I only wish that I could have stayed longer to fully appreciate every detail. Another time.

Love this place. Rooms and bathrooms are huge. It's in a great area to walk or bike around. If you keep walking along the road that it's on, across the field, there is another castle as well - Kasteel Cortenbach, about a 30-40 minute walk away. There's something special about being able to walk from castle to castle. There is... More
