Its like being transported back to the 18th Century. Lovely Hotel, great staff, fabulous grounds (you dont expect this in Heerlen - you know what I mean), great new outside bar area just been built. I have stayed in the courtyard rooms and in the Hotel - great atmosphere, lots of intimate and detail gone into this place. Food is... More

The Kasteel Terworm is a lovely setting for a hotel, with it's own Moat. The old building itself oozes charm with plenty of beams on display, a nice restaurant and a bar in the basement which leads to an outside patio area where you can sit a waterlevel and enjoy the wildlife. Around the grounds is a park and walk... More

Very lovely and romantic hotel in a beautifully restored castle, located in the green, forested and hilly part of the Netherlands, i.e. Limburg region. We stayed here for 2 nights and totally loved the experience. The castle looks like it was refurbished and restored to bring it into modern times, but the buildings' facades were left unchanged, only maintained beautifully.... More

Very cosy and romantic castle for a good weekend away. Hotel is in a castle built in 1670... Rooms are very nice, spacious and clean. Points of attention: Separate beds, shower is adjustable in height, no ventilation in bathroom (little moldy). Location is beautiful, rooms with terrace. All very quiet. Really a recommendable hotel!

A beautiful example of European castle-stay. The location is beautiful and well hidden in a park. The castle itself is stunning and well taken care of. The rooms are well decorated and clean although not too big, they are cosy and practically layed out. The service is quite average though and lacks the quality one would expect from an establishment... More

Luxurious, quirky hotel in one of the only bits of Holland with hills! So much to do within 40kms of this superb hotel. Taste Dutch wine and a selection of the most amazing local cheeses served in the Hotel Restaurant, which has a very reasonable 3, 4 or 5 course special menu available every evening as well. One of the... More

We were here during the Dutch "Carnaval-weekend" and were expecting the worse (because Heerlen is in the centre of "Carnaval-land"), but we had a great experience. A real castle in a beautiful surrounding, friendly and helpfull staff and a great, luxury room with everything you wish. Our arrangement included a sort of "surprise-dinner" in the castle-restaurant. Again: friendly and helpfull... More

place is amazing and charming...., Some problems with organization of payments : reception cervices should be more friendly (that may be needs more training for personal "how to treat guests if you as a receptionist do not know how to manage credit cards situations and grantee payments).... and some times a bit disorganized service at the restaurant ..... otherwise everything... If location and style are your only criteria, Kasteel Terworm deserves 6 stars. This 17th century castle tastefully converted into a hotel has everything going for a romantic stay. Unfortunately, you can't sleep in the moat and unattentive service is a bummer everywhere. The room we had was nice, on the ground floor, with a small patio, where it will... More

After reading all the reviews and speaking to some people who have been in Kasteel Terworm, we had high expectations. The room was nice, there's a great shower. The bathroom floor is flooded, however, after the shower, door must not close well. Breakfast itself was okay, but we had to wait 25 mins before we got a table, "because there... More
