I stayed at Martini Plaza during New Year's Eve 2013/2014 with my friend in one room. I must say that the hotel itself is very clean and modern. Rooms aren't big but have tv, table with chairs, nice bathroom and even little pot to make coffee. We found really great deal for the room 50% including breakfast in the morning,... More

In the early part of the 20th century this hotel used to be the WEEVA budget hotel for passing laborers and guests with small purses, but is has had a make over and now is a tasty, trendy, but still very affordable hotel is the centre of this great student city. The rooms are basic but very ok, the breakfast... More

Martini Hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the railway station and is clean and comfy. The rooms are small but well equipped and have everything that you'll need. The restaurant attached to the hotel is excellent and serves well cooked Dutch fayre in large portions. There is an outdoor are for those summer evenings. Very friendly staff (English speaking... Nice location in the centre of Groningen, a 10 minute walk from the railway station and just at a central bus stop. The hotel has an interesting story, built in 1871 as a communal house for giving food and shelter for the poor. The hotel restaurant has its name from this period. I was well received at the reception, and... More

We arrived late at night but the staff was very friendly and helpful. They prepared a baby bed without any hassle or cost. Food was good and coffee was machine made. Its location beats all the others for its proximity to the city centre. Stayed for 2 nights in the comfort room. It's only €15 more a night and with... More

*The location is perfect. A few minutes away from the main squares of Groningen. Very close by is a supermarket if you need to do some shopping. *Staff is friendly indeed. I left something in my room, called the next day, and two days later the item arrived at my home with the post. Very good service indeed! *The impression... More

We stayed for one night. The parking is expensive. We were charged for both our motorbikes in the courtyard at the rear of the hotel. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The location is excellent being in the centre of the city. The room was clean, reasonably sized and basic. The breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Recommended

Near central station and near the nicest area of Groningen this hotel is definitely worth it. The hotel room was very clean and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. This hotel really exceeded my expectations.

I stayed here for 4 nights while at a conference. If all you want to do is sleep, the hotel is fine. It's clean and the staff is friendly and nice. However, my room was minuscule; there was barely room to walk around the bed. The TV was equally small, the smallest I've ever seen, and it was mounted up... More
