We enjoyed our stay here - no problems at all. Rooms are in a historic building with a recently remodeled, modern style. Clean, nice bathrooms and showers. The loft room was a good choice for a family of 4 with 2 small children (sleeping on small sofas made into beds.) The grandparents also enjoyed their deluxe room. Staff was friendly... More

Stayed with three friends over three days and I cannot emphasise just how amazing all the staff were and how efficient and wonderful the hotel is. Honestly, my words don't do it much justice at all. You must absolutely go see it for yourself.

Too many superlatives to list. Stayed 6 nights. Historic building & location. Interior has modern amenities, while fitting in with the historic building . Zero negative issues. Public parking 10min walk, Train 15min, city center 2min walk. Great off season rates. Guarantee a great stay in Groningen, stay here.

Newish hotel in a very nice setting with a quiet square on one side and a garden on the other. Only one bedroom with twin beds, and half the space in the room was wasted by the idiocy of the designer who put the bath in half of the bedroom and surrounded it with metres of marble. I (5ft 7)... I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in october 2014. I was willing to pay for a junior-suite (space and comfort), and indeed booked that, but only after asking the hotel about the size of those suites. The thing is..on their website they state the 'deluxe room' is 30-35 square meters, and the junior suite is 35-45 square meters.... More

We had a wonderful night at hotel Situated in centuries old town building it has few rooms that you can feel at home wright away. We had junior suite with fire place, wonderful view to martini Kerkhof (very calm and quiet). Suite is a mixture of old architecture details and modern utilities. Bathrom is actually "around the corner" has perfect... More

My wife and I just spent two nights in a superior room at the Prinsenhof. We asked for a quiet room and were lodged on the 2nd floor, right under the roof. The hotel is an exemple of peace and quiet. The beds are a true example for other hotels. The duvets and pillows were truly fantastic. The room was... More

The princenhof is a small five star hotel just off the main square in Groningen. I was very impressed with the hotel, the rooms and the staff although some of the decor used in the halls was a bit creepy. The rooms were fantastic and exactly what you would expect from a European five star. Only fault I have is... More

There is a slogan about the province of Groningen that says ' Nothing tops Groningen', referring that it is Holland most Northern state. I studied here and wanted to show my partner how beautiful Groningen actually is. Well, I could not have been more persuasive than staying in this gem under the Martini tower in the heard of town. One... More

The beds here are like sleeping with no gravity. The mattress and sheets are of top quality. The room is quiet, impeccably clean, and resupplied fully each day. The staff is efficient and attractive. My only regret is that my wife wasn't with me. The room I had was warm and featured exposed ancient beams, a view of the hotel's... More
