We were returning to Germany with our cocker spaniel and had to stop one night in this delightful university town where my husband had been asked to take part in a lecture series. We are used to being turned away when travelling with Dog and ending up in shabby hotels somewhat out of town. This time right bang in the... More

I entered this hotel and was very pleasant surprised, it had a feeling of comfort, like a forgotten pair of slippers. It was lovely, until I arrived at my room. Using the very large Key (They still exist!), I entered a room that was a cross between Austin Powers and a 60's episode of Star trek. Burnt orange, Mustard &... More

Had just stayed in the NH Grand Krasnopolsky in Amsterdam and was not expecting much, but this was a lovely place to rest. Wanted to stay longer.... Smallish rooms but very cozy, and nicely decorated. Modern but warm, and a real brass key to open the door. Radiators that you can control yourself. On a quiet side street. Would have... More

My husband and I have stayed twice in this beautiful hotel in down town Groningen. You cannot stay more down town than at the Oude Boteringestraat! Everything is at walking distance! They offer valet parking so no troubles with the car. The hotel is luxurious, tastefully decorated and the staff is very friendly. The next door restaurant is cozy and... More

I am a Canadian travel agent and have traveled extensively. At first glance this hotel has the look of an upscale hotel, but after spending 3 nights here I will suggest you look for a better hotel. We had a "superior" room so I can only guess what a standard room would be like. We paid 162.Euros per night and... More

The look of this hotel is different and classic, down to the unusual check in desk. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room had two single beds and a large bathroom, all nice and clean except the grouting around the over bath shower, needs redoing. There is a small but adequate bar with a limited selection of drinks,... More

I stayed here on a weekend special package which included breakfast, free mini-bar and best of all ... late check out on Sunday on until 17:00. Finally, a hotel which gets the needs of a weekend traveller. I like weekend trips, but having to check out by 10:00 or 11:00 on a Sunday morning is just ridiculous. To boot, the... More

I stayed here for 2 nights as part of a business trip in July. This hotel is extremely basic and has a lot of negatives: 1. The furniture is very old and uncomfortable. The desk chair hurt to sit in and the bed was as stiff as a board. The pillows were also quite hard. 2. The decor looks awful... More
