Stayed in room 110. Understand another reviewer's opinion it's maybe not for a business stay but for a relaxed leisure visit to beautiful relaxed Groningen, Het Paleis is a good spot for a stay somewhere independent. It's near to the park and not far from the city centre. The shared living room is very high quality and pleasant. The staff,... More

I choose this hotel because it is different than your standard place and close to where I was attending a conference. I booked the art deco room on booking.com but was given I think the "constructivist" room by the hotel manager (room 110). The floor and walls are covered in construction grade wood panelling (like the panelling you would put... More

We stayed here two nights during a bike trip of the area. It was a perfect location for us - toward the northern end of the city (our trip was to the north) but very close to main shopping and eating streets. The courtyard layout provided excellent security for our bicycles. A small attached restaurant was convenient. The shared space... More

It appears that many B&B's are only offering an expensive breakfast (12.5 euros per person). This puts the onus on the traveler to find and procure breakfast. Fortunately, we found an excellent breakfast a few blocks away for only 7.5 euros per person. Our room was large and had Murphy beds. The location was pretty far from the downtown attractions.

Wonderfully decorated - each room had been designed by different artist. The rooms have this modern, minimalistic, yet chick look and they are in pristine condition. The area is very quiet, and so is the hotel. It is located about 7 min walk from the main square of the Groningen, and very close to a great park. Kitchen and lobby... More

Het Paleis in Groningen, NL, is a different place to stay and sleep, in a good way. I like it when I experience cool places or cool people, especially if I didn’t expect it. This is a treasure for people who are interested in art, design, functionality or just genuine cool stuff. My family and I booked a room at... More

A real pleasure to stay here. Each room individually themed room is great, all appear to be very comfortable, my one was definitely. It's very central yet very quiet and peaceful. Very well equipped also, great lounge area with a fantastic selection of books, I wouldn't want to cook in the kitchen as basic but the brasserie downstairs is lovely.... More

The Het Paleis is a really refreshing find. I've stayed four or five times now and have thoroughly enjoyed working my way through the differently themed bedrooms - all themed after particular art movements. Situtated in a quiet area of the city, it's still an easy walk into the city centre where there are a number of good bars and... More

We stayed in this hotel 3 nights. Each room is different with its own decoration. There is a common loungde with one TV and the Internet. This hotel is really quiet and peacefull, it means no noizes. There is a restaurant. The first time we went there because it was the closest. For 10€ , disches are excellent! One problem... More
