This hotel is right beside the train station, and about 10 - 15 minutes walk from the ciry centre. We found it to be very comfortable, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet gave a good choice, and seemed regularly replenished. We were perfectly happy with this choice of hotel for a weekend leisure break. Although... More

I love the Mercure brand of hotels. First time I experienced Mercure was at Paris, Montmartre location. And this branch at Nijmegen, Amsterdam did not disappoint. The hotel is a few steps from the Nijmegen train station, and if you're carrying heavy luggage, you don't need to take a cab since it's a short three minute walk to the reception... More

Dear sevenofnine, Thank you for your review. We are happy to read you enjoyed our location and staff so much. We are sorry to hear that you were dissappointed about the breakfast, although it is an extensive buffet, offering a large variety of bread(rolls), meat, cheeses, dairy, fruits, juices (including freshly squeezed orange juice), boiled and scrambled eggs, bacon, chipolata,... I stayed at this hotel, November 2013. The first appearance is sparse. However, there is a lot here, just compact. The breakfast was good. I like the little bar and the bartender was great! Expeditious service, snappy and on the spot. Honestly, the only thing I didn't like was the cold room, like 60 or something but I think this... More

Dear SteveCouv, Thank you very much for your review. We are happy to read you had a pleasant stay with us. You point out exactly what we aim for: delivering a good service and a nice, comfortable stay for our guests, trying to make them feel 'home-away-from-home'. Just a small replenishment about the bikes: in case we do not have... More

I'm lying in this fabulous comfortable bed as I write this on our last night here. This is a fantastic hotel, lovely friendly helpful staff on reception and the two chaps in the bar/ restaurant on the evenings have been brilliant! Room 102 superior room is awesome. Best bed I've ever slept in. Food at breakfast was lovely but evening... More

stayed overnight on business. Great hotel, very efficient and good for internet etc. Only ate breakfast in the hotel but this was perfect for my requirements. Will stay again when next in town. Central location could not be better. On site parking a great bonus.

stayed for 3 nights on a trip with my mother to the war cemetery just over the border in Germany. Very easy to get to on the train, having flown into Schipol, and just a short walk from the station. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, facilities were good and food was excellent. Didn't get much disturbance from the... More

Dear David W, Thank you for reviewing our hotel. Good to read you enjoyed your stay with us. The location next to the railway station is handy, especially when travelling on public transport, however for guests who sleep light, it is wise to advise us upfront arrival. We will be happy to allocate every guest in the room which fits... More

Fantastic experience! We spent a night in a Privilege room on the first floor which was newly renovated. The room was clean, spacious and the bed was comfortable. A nice plus point was that the toilet and the shower cabin was in 2 separate sections. Furthermore, the room was quiet and we had a good night's rest. We really enjoyed... More

Stopped off for one night after the air show at Gilze Rijen before driving to Herning in Denmark for the Karup air show. The Mercure is right next to the station in the centre of Nijmegen and has a 48 vehicle car park which is important as there is very limited parking in the local area. The cost for an... More

Dear Oxtedsurrey, Thank you kindly for your review. It is good to read you enjoyed most of our hotel. Unfortunately you experienced nuisance from the guests above you. We feel sorry about this and have the idea these guests really held a party, since the floors are made of a thick concrete. Did you report this to our 24/7-front desk?... More
