Saw this online & booked 3 nights as we wanted to see the Museum and 'Bridge too Far' at Arnhem and also spend a day in Amsterdam. The Molendal is an unique, welcoming, clean, comfortable, charming, historic hotel and any other similar description could always be added. The service was excellent and there was lots of choice at breakfast, we... More

Have stayed in this hotel several times now and never been disappointed. It is a large rambling old Dutch house with fantastic character and very comfortable rooms. Only meal offeredisbreakfast but very good continental style. Usually one person on duty who covers reception and bar. Bar is lovely comfortable area with large windows onto a quiet street. Set in a... More

So much nicer than a chain. Comfortable rooms, personal touches, friendly staff. Don't miss the breakfast and allow yourself an hour to relax and read the paper. Good value too. Arnhem is a good basis is for museums and National Parks.

I was planning a visit to Kroller Muller museum and wanted to spend one night outside of Amsterdam, closer to the museum. Hotel Moendal is good quality for the money, everything is fresh and comfortable. Very clean, good beds, great towels, ample breakfast buffet in an old world ambience. 5 minute walk to the bus stop to Kroller Muller, 5... More

This hotel is situated to the north of the town centre and is five minutes walk from the restaurant and entertainment precinct and ten to 15 minutes walk from the famous bridge. It is a character building, much like the one Anthony Hopkins and his men trashed in "A Bridge too Far". My brother wondered aloud when Colonel Frost and... More

This beautiful town house is a delight. The building has a substantial, cosy feel to it and we felt at home right from the start of our stay. The room was very spacious and very clean, Breakfast was more than adequate. The staff are certainly helpful and offered advice on our walk into town and to the museum the next... More

Beautiful Town House set in a leafy location, though only about 4 minutes walk into Town. My Colleague stayed previously and recommended. This is an absolute "Gem", truly a walk back in time, with it's furnishings, decor, and ambiance. The Staff make you very welcome and really try to offer an "Old Fashioned" level of service. The Beds are the... More

The only hotel in Arnhem with any character. A beautiful building in a quiet little neighbourhood. If you saw the Wes Anderson film "Grand Budapest Hotel" and you were amused by that, stay at Hotel Molendal; it has that old-fashioned atmosphere

The hotel is a 5-7 minute walk from train station. Very good breakfast buffet. Pretty view from our windows (room 7). Close to nearby park and you can be in city center pedestrian zone in 10 minutes. Very nice proprietors who see to all requests with a very nice attitudes. Make you feel very welcome. Great place for doing business... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Molendal in Arnhem, however, if you are coming by car, the only parking is metered parking or some free spaces on the street. It was very safe, but the meters were a surprise. Also, put the side street of Reijstrasse (off Sonsbeekweg) into your GPS to get there more easily than the... More
