We stayed in one of the two suites for a night, and were pleasantly surprised by the general atmosphere of the room. Luxurious and tasteful, with a stand-alone (bubble)bath, a rain shower, a sunken bed and minibar including coffee and tea facilities. As the room was situated under the roof the place breathed atmosphere with it's wooden beams and shuttered... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the Hotel in July 2013, it was a great choice after frustrating internet searching for accomodation in the Nijmegen/Arnhem area. A beautiful location with friendly staff and good service. The room (which was not a standard one) and view, was fantastic managing to combine cosiness and luxury. The hotel felt like a cherished family... More

The rooms are really nice and comfortable. The staff is really friendly and the food is amazing. The location is perfect, nature is all around you. I would definitely love to come back again. The only aspect that some people might not like is that there is no phone network or service at the hotel because the location is a... More

I read wonderful reviews on the Hotel and restaurant before I visited. The hotel itself feels tired and old, not in a classical sense but rather in a worn out way. The restaurant was a tremendous disappointment. The food was good, but it just took too long, so long that 4 hours later we left before our main course was... More

This hotel is located in a beautiful region. It is as expensive as a **** can be, but the services are nothing special. We had some bitter feelings because of the following reasons: - On the booking page (of booking.com) it was not clear that the price was indicated for a double room but as single occupation. The mentioning might... More

We stayed in a Prestige Room (2nd floor main building) , since I read other reviews not being happy about their standard room. The towels were fine, the room big and cosy, and the bathroom big enough, only the sink was not practical at all! The breakfast was nice, the atmosphere in the restaurant/cafe was cosy in the evening, fireplace,... More

You will be hard pressed to find a more beautiful setting for a hotel in Holland. Taking tea on the terrace, overlooking the beautiful grounds feels like a modern day "Dowton Abbey" moment. This old hotel, has done an incredible job of mixing modern lux with classic charm. Our room was quite large, especially for european standards. The restaurant and... More

We will never, never stay here again. Positives about the location is the grounds. The room had ripped towels with holes as big as softballs, plugged drain in the shower, internet was not working. Breakfast was sad. Dinner was atrocious. Good thing we ate at a wonderful restaurant the night before. We could not wait to leave.

The hotel gives an overall impression of great class. We specially appreciated the very friendly and helpful staff and the magnificent surroundings. The "comfort room" in the main building was well equipped but rather small and a bit "worn out". The big bed was comfortable although the mattress was too soft for us. The rooms were quite hot and the... More

I recently stayed here with my sister, niece and nephews and mom at this wonderful hotel in the middle of the woods in Arnhem, a true gem. I believe it used to be a hunting lodge and the owners live on the premises, in what used to be the chapel. My 10-year old nephew loved it, wandering around the beautiful... More
