Myself and four motorcycling mates stayed here for two nights in June 2015 and believe me it is a wonderful place to stay. Do not listen to the negative reviews as they do not address the hotel or it's conduct, only somebody's gripes about not reading the small print regarding cancellation periods. The owners are very tentative. I am not... More

I have been there in April 2015. The owner (an older lady) welcomed me very warmely. The house itself is very beautiful, the accessoires are partely kind of kitschy, but you also see antiques there. My room had a poster bed and in general the room was kind of dark, not all the lights were working. It had a functioning... More

I have a great experience staying here. It is furnished in a homely was with antique and "retro" furniture. Service was friendly and breakfast was excellent. I have seen a couple of bad reviews of this hotel and I do not endorse their views so that is why I write. Yes some of the towels were frayed but they were... More

If you cancel your reservation less than 31 days before arrival it will cost you big time, Booked mine well in advance as I was sure I was going and I did not read the small letters, had to cancel it 5 days before arrival, long enough for any hotel, then I realized I was going to be charged 35%... Slimy satin/polyester sheets, peeling paint on ceiling ... lights in bathroom not working, ancient stained and fraying bath towels, dirty washcloths...a beastly experience...the whole place should be closed down...we could not get away fast enough. The stuff of nightmares!!

We spent one night in this very special, little Victorian-looking hotel. The landlady is very friendly and the rooms quite nice. Much vintage and antique furniture, brought together with a fine taste. The breakfast was made with love. You can have food for lunch to take with you, for free.

Interesting vintage B&B in a 100+ year old building. It is very different from your standard hotel but certainly has its charm. Maintenance of the garden and paintwork can be improved.Staff is friendly. Break was served in an orangery. Eggs are made to your choice. Selection and quality are o.k. Note that there is quite some noise from traffic on... More

Wanted to stay here due to the reviews published and it was an experience indeed, at the moment you enter it's like going back in time. The hotel is interesting and of course looks very old and outdated, but that's part of the deal. In general, I'm quite happy with the service, the room and the quality of the bed.... More

We spent 3 nights at this hotel while visiting family in the area. It's quirky and very unique in its old charm decor. Just amazing! The owner and her daughter were delightful, and provide the most scrumptious breakfast each morning in the beautiful conservatory. The rooms were quite small, so if you are travelling with larger luggage, it may be... More

This hotel is quite unique. The decor of the house is entirely Victorian and a delight. Madame was most helpful in advising how to get to the centre of town for dinner. We ate in the Grand Cafe nearby which was very good, it had a stunning wine list! No air con. No safe in room. Bed was comfy, and... More
