The Hotel de Jonge is only 5 min walk from the station. And is in the heart of Assen. Near all the shops, pubs and restaurants. Assen is a nice city with as much going on as you would like to find. It can be a quiet place, or on TT weekend, a very lively city indeed! This hotel has... more

My family and I stayed in Hotel de Jonge on Saturday, March 18 2006. The facilities are adequate and have some charm as they are in the centre of Assen. However, the amount of noise heard throughout the night is problematic for anyone who needs sleep. The street noise caused by several drunken parties until 3 a.m. was very audible... more

The best thing about this hotel is the lovely restaurant on the ground floor. This is a cosy, warm place. My room was cheap and basic (no complaints on that aspect) but everything was extremely worn. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and some of the curtain hooks were missing or broken so the curtains would not go all... more
