Affordable spa based round a lovely house - in dire need of investment - in superb countryside. The affordability means lots of families; however well-behaved they are 6-10 children in a pool or breakfast room are noisy and not conducive to relaxation. Both my friend and I found that treatments advertised as "one hour" were more like 40 minutes. She... More

Was an amazing stay! We booked it just for Spa as a stop over on our Welsh driving trip. Magnificent old roman building with columns and picturess location. Spa is very good, loved the fact that both, pool and jacuzzi, didn't smell of chlorium, but were very pleasantly warm and clean. Sauna and steam room were also very good, not... More

Overall we had a lovely stay here. The pool/jacuzzi/sauna were great - really modern and a fantastic view over the adjacent field. We stayed in a Deluxe Double room - decorated in that typical hotel style, clean and tidy. The bed was really comfy (besides the fact it was two singles pushed together which seems to be the norm at... More

They've ticked all the boxes but the final attention to detail isn't there. There was no one at reception. The waiters are friendly but a bit clueless. The dinner menu looked amazing but was bland and uninspiring. Luckily We missed the rush breakfast But the food was average. My husband had the cockles and they left the shell on some!... More

We stayed at this hotel on a travel zoo deal on 21 St March 2015. We paid £99 for DBB deal which in fairness is a great price. We arrived in time for the second half of the Wales game and the staff were very welcoming. We ordered lunch from the light bite menu as they serve til 2 pm.... More

Disappointing stay, our room was nice but it had net curtains so you couldn't see out. Breakfast was dismal and people were having to cue for a table. The hotel was clearly not prepared for Easter, which seeing as this is their business is appalling. The staff were generally nice but the chap behind the bar was curt (probably because... More

There's lots of mixed reviews on here about the hotel, the ones slamming it are probably correct, albeit fairly harsh. The hotel itself is fairly tired, but was clean. The furniture in the room was very worn, slumped couch, old lamps, etc. and the TV in our room flickered for the first 10 minutes when you turned it on. The... More
