There was lovely reception @this lovely establishment. There's a long list of things to do on this side of the world! We enjoyed a couple of activities at the Wild 5 adventures - trial walks, walks over the suspended bridge, site viewing. My partner couldn't convince me enough to go on the Wild swing! Continued on to a near by... More

Bed and breakfast were wonderful. However, they gave us two single beds which was somewhat uncomfortable. Dinner at the restaurant was acceptable. The main attraction of course was the Big Swing, which was without a doubt impeccable! I'd definitely love to go back to the gorge and experience the white river rafting and other activities.

Probably the most pleasant stay of our trip. Although we had no water on the last morning due to an Eskom problem that came without any warning, the staff handled the problem very well by bringing coffee and tea from the kitchen, buckets of hot water for washing and flushing, all without asking for and before we could order. The... More

It's an average place, reflective of it's 3* status. Bathrooms urgently need to be updated. Room was neat and tidy but not what you expect when you ask for their best suite. Just a tip to the hotel owners, their towels need to be replaced and go with white, it adds a touch of luxury and class to any place.... More

If you like a country hotel, a little old fashioned, but clean and comfortable, then this is a good place to be. Five star it isn't, but when the staff go out of their way to be friendly and efficient, this makes up for a lot. If you look hard, there are things that need to be brushed up or... More

Entrance to hotel is quite picturesque with trees and greenery, however the floral cushions on the outdoor loungers looked like they could do with a wash. Room 16 was nice and spacious with a front facing garden view from the first floor. Back rooms face the pool and the kids play area. There was no airconditioner or bar fridge but... More

Comfortable hotel, nice and relaxing. I would definitely go there again. Food reasonable and good value for money. Staff were fantastic. Rooms clean and comfortable. Gardens are full of old wonderful trees and you will see monkeys. The gorge was awesome. Only problem is that there are hardly any ceilings and the guy upstairs seemed to be up all night... More

This is a rather quaint and very rural hotel with most of the Colonial comforts of a bygone era. Don't expect a 4 lane highway to get there, don't expect anything actually, rather arrive with an open mind and just relax. This is a very tranquil spot with a superb gorge to bungee from, superb scenery to take in and... More

1. There is no warning about any room service charge (we order a scone R19 & had a suprise when we were charged R20 for room service + the scone) 2. You can hear the people in their rooms next door and downstairs and in the passage... We were kept awake by the guest next door's snoring, the awoken at... More
