A lovely hotel set in a beautiful peaceful landscape with stream. 8-10 km from Josselin the nearest town. We spent three nights at this charming hotel, it was very peaceful, we had a lovely room on the front overlooking a stream and corn fields, breakfast was included in the nights stay, we also had dinner at their restaurant that specialises... Yes I know France isn't the best of places for us veggies, how ever I checked that Hotel Le Domaine De La Ferriere would be able to cater for me. We arrived and it was beautiful we had a warm welcome and shown our room (the one in the picture!) We were asked if we would be staying for diner,... More

This is our favourite restaurant in our area of Brittany. We stayed overnight several years ago, and return each time we are in Brittany as it is fairly close by our house, and I can only describe it as excellent in every way. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. The set menu in the evening is very... More

We booked at this hotel, because it appeared to have a lot of character and was well priced near Josselin. The hotel is in a lovely building in a quiet bucolic setting, the service was excellent, and the restaurant was significantly better than we had expected. I very highly recommend the stone cooked duck breast in particular. The decorating and... More

If you like castles, and want to stay in one, this is a great opportunity. The insides have been completely remodeled, while the outside is true "chateau". You will meet Mme. Simon and possibly her husband, the owners, as they allow you to share this place. You will need a car to get here, but it is worth the effort.... More

This is a beautiful small country estate, run in a very personal way by charming people. Rooms are on the small side, but very comfortable. I would have like either a/c or screens on the windows; mosquitoes mean windows have to be closed in the evening. Bed is very comfortable. Bathroom functional, though water pressure a bit inconsistent. Surrounding countryside... More

We have stayed one night at this hotel, but now own a house in the area and often visit for dinner. This is a real gem. Highly recommended, both in Summer and Winter. It takes on a very different ambiance at different times of the year, but never fails to present fabulous food - the stone cooked steak and duck... More

This is a small Chateau very much isolated in the French countryside. It really is beautiful and immaculate. The welcome was very warm and casual our host spoke a small amount of English which certainly helped. We stayed two nights to explore the region and the rooms although very small for a Chateau were comfortable and spotless.Dinner in the restaurant... More

A wonderful place to relax for a short stay. Set in peaceful gardens with comfortable rooms. The restaurant is superb with delicious cooking, and the hot-stone fillet of beef is highly recommended. We would be delighted to return.

I was very pleased with my stay at Domaine de la Ferriere. The hotel has a cosy atmosfere, a lovely garden, and the owners did everything to keep me satisfied. On the restaurant, taste the steak on the stone. SSJ
