I emailed the hotel to ensure there's air conditioner in the room and they replied me that there's AC in a studio room that I reserved the studio for our family! As you may be aware, there're many hotels in Zurich without AC. Upon arrival, we found no AC in the room and the reception said she would find a... More

The main reason for our stay was a convention at the Zurich University. The hotel was located within a 3 min walk from the university so that was very convenient. In addition, it's a short walking distance to the old city main streets and to the central train station. The room is small and there is no AC available. Usually... More

Good that the hotel guide jus to use the ramp up to reach the hotel such we don't need to carry the luggage through the staircase. Clean and newly decorated room. Although there is no air conditioner, there is a fan in the room. This is enough for Zurich as night is quite cool. The location of the room is... More

Friendly staff. We stayed in the building next door. Room was generous size, bathroom big and shower even bigger. Only faulty needed bigger, thicker towels and apart from 5 English news channels, they needed English entertainment channels. Breakfast was ok, with cereal, fresh fruit, toast/croissants/rolls and a selection of meat and cheeses. No hot food. The hotel was an easy... More

I stayed here in early July 2015 on a business trip, in room 324 in the main building. The room was large and very comfortable. There was a heat wave (highs 35C 95F) and the small portable air conditioning unit could not keep up with the heat, so the room got very hot during the day, but that is the... More

I travel to Zurich from New York about every three months. And I always stay at St. Josef. Everything in town is in walking distance. The staff could not be better. There is also outside place for breakfast or dinner. Price is best you will find in Zurich. You could also ask for Suite with cozy outdoor balcony.

Enjoyed staying at this hotel. Front desk staff on arrival were very good and spoke very good english, so helpful with maps provided and questions answered. Our rooms were perfect, clean, spacious and everything we needed for our couple of days in Zurich. Breakfast is fine, not a great selection, but enough to get you through the morning. This location... More

We have stayed at the St Josef many times now and it continues to be a great boutique hotel. The location close to the main train station, city centre and the old town is a bonus. The staff are great, the breakfast is superb and the rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. Obviously, we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

This hotel is a walking distance from the Zurich HB station and it is really white and clean. The hotel staff were very helpful throughout my stay and the English breakfast was good. The downsides: the fact that the hotel rooms had no air conditioning so it could get hot at night and during the day even with the fan... More

At the risk of not being able to book a room the next time I'm in town, I feel like I owe it to this lovely hotel to write a review. I have just returned from zurich, where I stayed at the st.josef now over half a dozen times. Having been born and raised in Switzerland, I go back regularly... More
