This was an awesome experience. In the heart of a quaint distract across the river in Zurich nestled amongst old brick buildings and small alleys is the adorable Zic Zac. For 72 Euro you can get a double bed in a rock themed, quiet, and dark room that will take you back to the 80s (we got the Pink Floyd... More

As I said the location is great. It is in the cente of the city you can reach everywhere by walking quickly so that is good and the street is cool. There are bars and cafes around whıch are enjoyable to sit and have a drink. Also rooms and beds were clean when we were there. Yes it may be... More

The room is considered the cheapest for Zurich living standard. Everywhere is near by, get yourself a bicycle and you can roam around the city for 3 days! Be careful of the flooring though, it's squeaky. The walls are pretty thin and pubs downstairs can be pretty noisy at night, esp weekend.

I've been staying in youth hostels for over a week now. I booked Zic-Zac so that I could have a break and stay in a private room for a couple of nights before returning to the multiple beds in one room format. You share a bathroom, but its clean and not far away. The bed is comfortable, room has towels,... More

First of all Zic Zac Rock Hotel looked more like a Hostel. My room was ridiculously small, under the room ( all the neighbourg could see the inside !), and very very very old. The sink was just next to my bed and all the furniture looked dusty and really cheap ( and not very well conserved). The room basically... More

.... and you have to treat it as such, go with the flow, laugh at how bad some of it is and generally stay cool and remember that Switzerland is an expensive country in which to live and to visit and for the ZZRs excellent location in central Zurich (Old Town) it is convenient and cheap! I have stayed here... More

Stayed here with 2 female friends as we were on a very tight budget while on a trip to switzerland for work. well, there's a reason it's cheap! the floors slope so badly that you're leaning all the time and the beds moved. the room was a fair size but was dirty and smelly. not to mention the constant noise... When going to Zurich during my long eurotrip I carefully studied all the reviews about this hotel (mostly negative) but anyway decided to book it, it simply was the cheapest offer in such an expensive city. "Maybe it's not that bad", I thought. But yeah, it was THAT bad and even worse. Single room was awfully small and completely ran... More
