I am a regular visitor to Zurich for business, and this hotel is very conveniently positioned away from the hustle and bustle of the Main Station and central Zurich, and easily reached by a direct train service (to Zurich Stadelhofen) from the Airport. Staff are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms of good comfort. It is situated behind the Opera,... More

Couldn't get much decent sleep during my stay Noise from outside, poor window isolation Noise from inside the hotel between rooms and one could hear all movement in the hallway, every door that opened and shut The room size was tiny... Felt like Harry Potter's room under the stairs... The price was not tiny though Reception staff were very friendly... More

Dear „Stephen G”. Regretfully I read your comment about our Hotel Opera and am sorry that we did not meet your expectations. However, your feedback is very important to us because we always would like to improve. Concerning your comment about the noise: All our rooms are newly renovated and have soundproofed windows which our guests normally appreciate. Therefore we... More

A great find in a fabulous city at Christmas. Good value for expensive Zurich. An excellent buffet breakfast with so much variety (included in our room price, otherwise would have been quite expensive so watch out!). Booked two "small double rooms" for our family of 4 (2 boys aged 12 & 16). Called "small" but I'd say a very good... More

In October I stayed at Hotel Opera on Friday night, which is when the General Manager, Mr. Zehnder, organizes the fondue and wine tasting event at the rooftop of the adjacent sister property, Hotel Ambassador. This was a very nice new addition to everything else this hotel has to offer: great location, sumptuous breakfast and always professional staff. Highly recommended!

We chose this hotel because we were lucky to get a ticket for the opera. The location as you might imagine is perfect for this and we were also delighted to be upgraded to a premium room from the opera one we booked which also had a small balcony and a view of the lake. I found the location noisy... More

I spent a week en in Zurich and I stayed in Opera-Ambassador hotel. It has a nice location, near the city center and just behind the lake but in a quiet street. The room was spacious and comfortable. It also has a good restaurant. I

Right behind the Zurich Opera, at the start of the Seefeld neighbourhood, there's a cluster of very solid 4 star hotels (Opera Hotel, Ambassador à l'Opera, Hotel Europe). Compared to its neighbours, Opera Hotel is the one in a modern building, but it's still very classic and elegant on the inside. Service is good and rooms are good and immaculately... More

Opera Hotel is located -- believe it or not -- just across the street from the Zurich Opera House. If the excellent opera is on your itinerary, nowhere is more convenient for your stay. The hotel is also just a street or so from the lakefront in one direction and from the Stadelhofen train station in the other. That station... More

The service was outstanding. A real pleasure to stay here. The team was proactive especially with the street parade. Advice on where to go as well as directions was easily obtainable. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The quality of the food in the restaurants just across the road and around the corner was superb.
