This hotel was clean, the room was a good size, the bathroom was huge & the staff was very helpful & friendly. We were on the 5th floor had a balcony and did not hear ANY noise from the club that is on the 3rd floor. Zurich is very expensive & it was very busy. hotels were booking up. The... More

Friendly staff in the reception. Centrally in Zurich. Nightclubs in the same building is very noisy every night, can be heard in the room. No sleep before 4 / 5 in the morning. we slept longer because of the noise at night, resulted in no cleaning in the room. interrupted stay 1 day ahead of schedule. ok room but the... More

I think the full name of this boutique hotel is Goldenes Schwert ("Golden Sword") but simply abbreviated to G-Hotel. Location wise, it's fantastic. Just on the east side of the Limmat River within walking distance from the train station and minutes from the Grossmunster church. Also close to Niederdorfstrasse, a pedestrian street that has an abundance of restaurants and bars.... More

After a long flight from Sydney and staying up all day loving every minute of Zurich, i was looking forward to a good night sleep. Then the thumping started and went and went and went until 4am and this was on Thursday, Friday night was even worse. After asking to be moved it appeared that no rooms were available; the... More

I stayed at the hotel because of the location which is very idyllic and central. When I booked the room I did read that there is a disco in the building and that some noise might be heard. The reality is that it´s not possible to sleep at all until 04.00 when the disco closes. I had a business trip... More

The hotel has more like a guest house feel to it. Did not see another guest in 24 hours. Location is great for the gay bars/club and for walking around Zurich old town. The lobby is basic to say the least. There are no amenities at the hotel at all. Breakfast is served on a tray in the room. Rooms... More

I really mean it when saying those words. The lounge bar below and the midtown streets are so annoying. I booked a week stay in this hotel last couple of weeks, and finally found out a way to have a nice trip in this part of Zurich – enjoying nightlife. It was so funny that I turned my time table... I would recommended this hotel since it is cheap and has a great location in midtown. And if you want to rent such a place in midtown it is a “noise-concern approval” you must have in mind. I booked a 3 nights stay last week in Golden Schwert hotel. The streets and the coffee bar below was noisy for sure.... More

Hotel was centrally located and relatively cheap for Zuerich, but in retrospect would have happily spent more in order to get any sleep. Stayed in room 49, where we could play 'guess the song' for the 2 clubs downstairs and the rock and roll/jazz bar across the narrow street. The hotel provides earplugs, presumably as a joke as they afford... More

The location is perfect. Right in the center of of zurich which can connect to in and around zurich easily. The rooms are comfortable but noisy due to the pub. But doenst affect us so we went for this. the breakfast was given in the room.. wow.. thats the luxury when u stay in off-season i guess.. The overall stay... More
